HELL
I have been scanning other websites and there are many disappointing views or threads out. Sure Shields takes a lot of the blame, but WE all expect more from GSP, one eye or not, and that was a punch not a poke. GSP is a defensive fighter, nothing wrong with that and again he is the champ, so there is no need for him to beat you are YOUR game as any challenger must figure his out not the other way around, hes just not getting my $ anymore as I dont care to see a 25 minute script unless he dares to fight Silva or Diaz runs his mouth enough to make him mad.

how many more times does gsp continue this style of fighting?...

he`s becoming the chris byrd of mma...:142smilie

To be honest GSP was going for it until that mouse formed. He was throwing spinning side kicks and kyokoshin bullshit against against a guy he wanted to stay off his back with. No respect for shields takedown game at all. He thought he had the whole fight to finish but after the mouse he lost his balls. It could have legimitely hampered his vision too, which could have accounted for the shots shields landed in the later rounds.

You could tell when he started going for takedowns and getting up, just trying to score. I loved the look on his face when he heard the 48-47 card, looked like he was going to shit.

Jr11......

How could you be unhappy with the card.....

That card was awesome.

Who gives a fuck who headlines. It is the entire card that matters.

There were 11 great fights

Who cares if GSP headlines......it is only one fight.

And by the way....GSP brings in tons of cash to UFC......he will headline every card he is on.

He makes the UFC mad cash.

Again....who gives a fuck who headlines the fight.

Read what I wrote GW.....

Machida had a bunch of boring fights and Whatisnuts always defended Machida. Yet he calls all of GSP fights boring.

Am curious how every Machida fight was never boring yet GSP fights are?

And if he thinks GSP is boring......he must hate Shields with a passion...because Shields is one of the most boring fighters in MMA.

Shields is a joke......

Just curious what whatisnuts has to say?

Kick i don't think u ccan say Shields wAS BORING THAT FIGHT. hE DID FORCE MOST OF THE ACTION. freakin caps. Oh by the way i hear Shields is icing his fingernail. the one he scratched GSP cornea with. In a fight i much rather have what Hominick had then a scratched eye

You are right, its just I expect more from GSP, I do. Again, the card must be good underneath him. I pretty much watch them all as we have discussed this before, but I guess I just want more from him.

From bloodyelbow....

In the end what might have been the show of the year was marred by a dull decision in the main event. For all the talk of Georges St. Pierre leading mixed martial arts into uncharted mainstream waters, it's something that is never going to be accomplished by a fighter who doesn't excite emotions in the cage. St. Pierre has turned into Bernard Hopkins or Ronald "Winky" Wright. He's a brilliant tactician and an excellent fighter. But if he fights the way he did tonight, he's not the fighter to take the sport to the next level.

GSP looked to be finishing right from the start but when he got the eye injury things changed. Now i think the alleged poke happen right after that clip they showed where they thought it happen. i trying to see if i can get the clip. Since u say it wasn't a poke Jr it is worth going back to take a look. Now a guy like weasel i wouldn't even waste my time. He score the fight two rounds for Shields :142smilie So now we have to take the judges seriously and not have GSP winning 35 straight rounds b ut not take the judges seriously when Machida lost to Rampage.

Originally we all thought it was poke, but I thought they showed it a few times in between that round as it was a right hand right on the eyeball, after a missed left jab. See if you can find it.

Before the fight randy is a crafty veteran who knows the secret to machida.

After the fight randy "went out on a high" because he "lasted 7 minutes with machida at age 47"
