Boy one case for live betting was the Colture fight. After that first round it looked like Randy had no shot. I think i would have laid 20 to 1 odds on that one.

where`d you get that?...not from the press conference...

Hawani asked shield what happen and Shields said he punched him. Ariel asked the question because he thought he poked him. not that hard to read between the lines

Great card with many exciting fights except of course for GSP as usual!

GSP is so boring, and Kyle is the biggest GDP apologist on the face of the earth. How tiresome! Tell ur boy to finish somebody this decade please!!

kick....bubby.....i`m sorry...sometimes i forget how big a sports hero gsp is in canada.....

and then spongy pushes my buttons, starts making shit up out of whole cloth and i lose it....

the guy is a great talent..complete fighter...one of the guys in the pfp argument, for sure...

maybe because he`s so good, expectations run higher than they would with lesser fighters....

i thought that gsp would dictate where the fight would be fought because his stand-up was so much better than shields`(go back and read what i wrote prior to the fight) and his takedown defense is one of the very best.......and he did just that.....

i just expected a little more domination than we got....maybe i expected too much...maybe shields` stand-up has evolved a bit of late...i don`t know...

he finished off a few parlays for me and that was a good thing....many of us hit those "big three" parlays last night..they finished off a big night for me and i`m sure the books that take pars(american and euro) are a bit sore this morning because the faves came through.......

so,sorry for being so harsh....heat of the moment...i really just expected more from him...and maybe that`s unfair...but it`s only unfair because the guy is right at the very top of the mma food chain.....

:sadwave: ...we argue over this stuff because we all enjoy it and are passionate about it...

:toast:

Whatisnuts.....

If GSP is boring what is Shields?

And how was Machida never boring, yet GSP is??

Shields wasn't fighting defensively, he was trying to take what he was given and unfortunately he sucks at that part. GSP COULD have taken this fight any place he wanted, but he chose to take it nowhere. That's why I don't blame Shields. GSP is supposed to be a master of everything, superman type athlete, yet he fights not to lose. ZERO killer instinct. ZERO. His legacy is all he cares about, but he is tarnishing it every round.

The fight sucked.......

but GW you have completly lost your mind if you think Shields did more damage.

Shields barely touched him for the entire fight.

Shields did nothing and GSP toyed with him

I can't believe you think Shields did more damge.

You have lost it.

Shields sucks
Firstly, I am a huge GSP fan and wanted him to win BUT

That fight sucked major balls.

Shields took a shit kicking for most of the fight but I would rather be him than GSP today as the 2 strikes he did land, badly fucked up GSP's nose and eye.

Shields lasting 5 rounds with GSP on the feet is a disgrace to George. This is a guy who could hardly handle a bum off the street on "Bully Beatdown" and he lasts 5 rounds with George. Give me a fucking break!!!

George is way too safe these day's. I was disappointed that he didn't even engage after decking and hurting Shields with the head kick.

Dana will be pissed about this performance.

Sorry I didn't post last night. The GSP/Shields fight put me to sleep and I just woke up. :SIB

As for Jake seeming content at the end of the fight. You do realize that if he had done just a little more in one of the 3 rounds he lost then he would be the champion right now apparently. He did nothing in the supposedly 2 rounds he won so how much more did he need to do in another round to win it on the judges card?

Boy how mad would Dana have been if he did become the new champ off that performance.

That would be 2 things he would have to make up to the fans. We are still waiting for the first promise of making it up to the fans from the Anderson Silva fight. I am sure that promise slipped Dana's mind. Maybe last night main event will jar his memory.

I love how Shields gets blamed for a boring fight, but GSP never does. If Anderson Silva does this 1 time, he's belittled from top to bottom. Yet, GSP continuously goes out and just puts up BORING FIGHTS. I just don't get all the dick sucking for such a boring fighter.

FYI, Shields was the better striker, and looks like he was the most effective. He wasn't the most efficient because GSP landed a better %, but Shields actually landed more strikes, and by the looks of their faces, the more effective.

I won't deny that GSP did win the fight, but the blow this out like it was a landslide is laughable. That fight was actually very close.

Lets kill all that greatest on the planet talk. Not even close. There are guys in the MW division he would get manhandled by. The best fighters in the world, the elite of the elite go for the kill. They beat guys at their opponents strength. GSP just does whatever it takes to get a decision.

Fuck, even Machida fights aggressive now, come on!
