It went over my head too, at the time when they showed highlights of the punch in between rounds I could have swore it was a punch right on the eye. I have seen multiple videos now showing eye pokes. It appears to be the case, total BS from Shields.
Jr i was talking about the post fight interview going over Weasel's head lol. The post fight interview Ariel H ask the question about the punch that hurt GSP's eye, cause u could tell he thought it was a poke. Shields loud and quickly said "i punched him in the face" Areil H wasn't asking that question because he thought it was a good punch. I don't want to say Shields is a dirty fighter even tho he fights in one of the dirtiest camps, but that bull look like a move a defeated man would try.

gsp never mentioned one word about getting poked in the eye when interviewed right after the fight..gsp was honest afterward...

anyway,it`s a moot point given the shape that gsp`s nose was in...maybe that was due to a leatherglove fingertip,too?...:mj07:

But with that being said......he still should have finished Shields.

Personally, I'm taking back a lot of the shit I gave GSP, because I found out it was intentional. He had to know Shields was doing it on purpose and I don't blame him for being cautious. I blamed him before for putting himself in the position to get eye poked, but if Shields was trying it would have happened anyways.
Shields is a bitch. If he had a high heeled shoe GSP would blind in both eyes.
