Only advantage i see Diaz have in this fight is strength and cardio. It seems only world class wrestlers give Penn trouble and this is not one of Diaz strong points. The world class wrestlers like Fitch, Hughes and GSP give Penn trouble in the later rounds. The only one with hands that ever gave BJ trouble was Frankie and that was all speed. Yes GSP gave him a little trouble with his hands but that was because of the wrestling beat down he gave him. I couldn't bet any other way but Penn in this one. If i knew that Penn came into the fight in the same shape as he did in the Sanchez fight i would be all over him. To me Diaz head movement is taylor made for a Penn onslaught. Now if this was his brother Nate i would think differently. Nates footwork and head movement are way better than NIcks. Nicks body work is top notch but will he be able to use it against Penn? I wouldn't be surprised if Penn rocks Nick early and if Nick dives to the ground like he did with Daley he is in a world of trouble. I don't see Nick catching Penn early at all and Penns beard is no weak point in his arsenal. Penn is on of those rare guys that can train a year at something and become very good at it. Who in the world would have ever thought he could take down Fitch and it wasn't like he struggled. If he can take down Fitch he sure as hell can take down Diaz. If im Penn and im in good shape i take Diaz right down to the ground. He isn't submitting Penn. I also think Penn is in Diaz head a little when Diaz said "now i got to fight this tricky mother fuker" This to me may say's that Diaz willl not use his jujijiz offensively.

Anyone know if Nelson trained for this fight or is he gonna leave right from Burger King to take part in the nights show?

Ohio but not a Buckeye
oh please...whatever became of that?....some sanctions?.... a rematch(i doubt penn wanted any part of that)..a suspension?......he doesn`t need to grease to give penn a beatdown

penn could have come into the ring with two tasers and a bad case of the clap and gsp would have still walked out clean as a whistle

/this is what i meant by penn fan-boys driving the betting line....

I'm not a Penn "fan boy" so we can get that clear from the get-go.

However, the point here isn't whether or not GSP dominated, will dominate, would dominate, whatever. The point is that you clearly turn a blind eye and ignore the fact that his corner was rubbing vaseline on him, and the Commission had to come in the cage 2x to yell at his corner and try to wipe it off with a towel(if you watch the video, GSP gets up and walks away before they could), is completely ridiculous. If it were some middle of the road fighter/fight and happened, you'd be going bonkers.

/this is what i mean by gsp fan-boys

Kinda sad. I always thought he could easily make 205 and here he is standing next to a guy who makes 205 and he still looks small. I wonder if he ever realized that he might be faster if he dropped all that lard.

he`s lost an awful lot of weight in prep for this fight...and from what i`ve read griffin walks around at about 225/230....

so far:

-hioki itd +122 at 5 dimes
-jacoby +110 at sportsbook
-cerrone/hioki parlay paying a little better than even
-have a par pending(belcher w/cerrone) laying 1 to win 1.35...

*a little heavier on cerrone in a tough fight than i`d planned...hedging with siver by decision at +423

adding:
- carmont+115 small..
-bartemus palzew.+260 small
-hioki sub of the night +450 small

To me this sounds like a guy who might think he is in way over his head. Then again a punch that hurts a guy can change that feeling all together. The guys he fought lately are below average compared to BJ. http://bjpenn.com/news/2011/10/27/ufc-137-nick-diaz-says-this-could-be-his-last-fight-6942.html

i got to about the 2 minute mark before i gave up....sounded like he swallowed one of those l.l. bean rubber boots with the knitted sock tops.....

guy`s got some serious issues....i hope this line doesn`t keep going up(i don`t want to get suckered into betting on diaz)......it`s beginning to look like the ufc stage might be a bit too much mentally for him...

You can bash Dana all you want, but even all the haters have to give him props for what he did for that kid. Sounds like he doesn't have long to live, hope he makes it to Toronto. Way to go Dana.....Very cool indeed:Yep:

He cares about the fans.

By the way the dude in the blog that wants in the UFC is Yuichiro "jienotsu" Nagashima. He's the dude who knocked out the number 1 over-rated MMA fighter on the planet Shinya Aoki. Remember Aoki cheated and then got knocked out:s2: :yup :142lmao: ;142loser:

If you don't remember......

Anybody that beats that fraud Aoki deserves to be in the UFC.:box2:

Overall 50-39 +33.54 units

Opinions 17-19 +2.25(always .5 unit)

Diaz +115 7units

I might add a very small play on Kongo but at this point I'm back and forth on it.

Diaz is going to win this fight. His length will be the difference.
