"the bunker"
i`m a little baffled by the roop love i`m seeing all over the net.....

other than beating a highly overrated one-trick pony in grispi(who was also exposed by dustin poirer in his next fight),theres nothing on his resume remotely comparable to hioki`s opposition....

and when he did step up,he got dummied(hominick, who has lost twice to hioki).....

hioki has wins over ronnie mann, marlon sandro, hominck twice,

i guess everyone is figuring that hioki falls apart once he hits the states?....i`m aware of the history of japanese fighters here, but if you look at how they`ve been matched, nobody`s doing them any favors....

gomi vs florian
omigawa had to fight chad mendes
fukuda beat ring but got hosed
yamamoto had to fight demetrious johnson
ishida beat justin "silverback"wilcox
kawajiri had to fight gilbert melendez...ditto aoki

akiyama was a disappointment...but belcher/leben/bisping and belfort are all much better fighters than roop...i doubt that roop is anywhere near the level of competition that some of these others had to face in their first ufc/american debuts....

heres roop getting subbed by somebody named ray robinson ...4 subs in 7 losses...

<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RZIFCGtaWIQ?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RZIFCGtaWIQ?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>

just playing devil`s advocate...maybe i`m wrong.....but i`m just not seeing it,short of a big head kick out of nowhere.......

but,then again,i had bonnar over marc coleman...:00x12

he lost to tony ferguson in the ultimate fighter finale...predominantly a grappler(wrestler in high school and college)....

he slides between 155 and 170....looked deathly thin at the weigh-in...and downes looked like he hasn`t started shaving yet....

His chin isn't worth 2 to 1. Im off that fight even tho the other kid is a stiff.

I wish there was love for Roop  to get this line down a little. Almost ready to pull the trigger on Hioki but man 355 is not my cup of tea. if i pull the trigger and lose KIck is gonna get his ass kicked. Last time i bet him he lost that tourney.

Sponge....he didn't lose the tourney. He wasn't able to finish because of a concussion.

Kick could you provide some insight as to why you like Kongo so much?
Aside from Mitrione only having 5 fights so far

thanks

bert.........I don't like Kongo that much, but worth a shot at those odds. Huge step up for "Meathead" and Kongo did go to a decision with Cain. I just think it might be too much for Matt Mitrione that's all.

I think Mitrione is best when he is moving and I can see these two being in kickboxing range. That kind of fight favors Kongo in my view

My plays

Diaz - I just think he is going to wear Penn down. this is a great fight

Kongo - Losses to Mir and Cain are nothing to be ashamed of. Kongo has come closer than anyone to defeating Cain, rocking the now champion on more than one occasion. Such a huge difference in experience here though Mitrione has shown huge potential in his 5 fights

Hioki and Roop over 2.5. Battle of two tall featherweights. I think Roop wants to keep this standing

Decided to add Palaszewski
