i think you have 4 options honestly...

#1 - wait
#2- cormier(not gonna happen)
#3- jds
#4- silva

Werdum or Barnett? Hunt?

Cant see Silva getting a chance at Cain, given that was a serious beatdown and a bloody one when Cain slaughtered him already. Cormier wont happen. JDS, maybe but might be too soon. Does Cain want to wait? That hurt not having Reem win to be honest, but it was poetic to watch happen.

Didn't mention Werdum because he's fighting Big Nog next. Hunt is fighting Struve and I don't think is even close to deserving anyways. Barnett is coming off a 1-1 stint where he got his ass kicked by Cormier.

The UFC is in a jam. I think the 2 most realistic scenarios are Silva or JDS....I think the best long term scenario is to just tell Cain to take some time off.

You are probably right about him taking some time, but does he want to? They are in a serious jam now. I know the others I mentioned are tied up but do they pull one of them. JDS is too soon and he needs a tune up anyways.

Its a tough spot. I agree JDS needs a tune up. I think for the sake of the division you make Cain wait and if Werdum wins, give him the shot. I think he could be an entertaining matchup. Outside of his loss to Reeem he's been pretty impressive. However, lets say Werdum beat Cain...do ppl really wanna see JDS fight Werdum again?

Its really a rough spot. I'm curious to see how it plays out...
