Jon Jones vs. Ovince Saint Preux
Demetrious Johnson vs. Henry Cejudo
Edson Barboza vs. Anthony Pettis
Rafael Natal vs. Robert Whittaker
Andre Fili vs. Yair Rodriguez

Danny Roberts vs. Dominique Steele
Carla Esparza vs. Juliana Lima
Glaico Franca vs. James Vick
Cody East vs. Walt Harris

Will Demetrious Johnson actually lose a round? Last time Demetrious Johnson lost a round Dan Severn was MMA royalty and Andre the Giant was throwing around Hulk Hogan.

I`m already taking a flyer on cejudo..might be a bit too early for him,but he may well be the best guy Johnson`s fought, this side of Dominick cruz....I don`t think it`s gonna be a cakewalk by any stretch...count me in at +350...

POLOCK :mj07:

that's a cold one

I say that with absolute love for my polish brethren....Joanna looks like an eastern European mafia(kielbasa posse) enforcer....

that parlay is possible...I personally think little pettis is way overrated...not sure if kelades gets it done but little pettis(like his brother) might be a tad overrated(they can struggle with strong, physical opponents).....

Jon Jones/Mighty Mouse -217 6/2.75
Juliana Lima +160 over Carla Esparza 1/1.6
Walt Harris +145 over Cody East 1/1.45

Couple of notes here:
Seems like everyone on the JJ/MM parlay - OSP's strengths are the same as Jones' but Jones better in those areas. Jones' camp working on lots of BJJ chokes when preparing for DC - so if OSP tries to close distance and takedown - his neck will be exposed. If you notice OSP's defense on the ground - it relies more on fast-twitch athleticism rather than being technical - this exposes the neck a lot. I'd see Jones by sub if I could get the line... that being said, OSP's strength is backing up and counter-punching - I don't see Jones rushing in at all. OSP has small gas tank, so could see Jones waiting him out a bit and using his length. OSP may get frustrated and shoot and...

Esparza seems like one-trick pony, Lima is bigger and Esparza is very injury prone - just on her Instagram a few weeks ago she had a neck brace on and a brace on her right hand. I think the Joanna fight exposed her badly, plus a long layoff - I just don't see Esparza making the striking leaps needed to be a 2-1 fave.

Lots of things going against me in this Harris bet, but anything can happen in HW division. East has horrible character - convicted of raping 14 year old. Is susceptible to the knockdown - not a very good chin... not really all that athletic. However, he was in Dana White's Looking for a Fighter show and it seems the latest fighters who the UFC have a vested interest in bringing from the other shows have been given cupcakes to build them up, thinking Sage Northcutt-like... anyway, Harris has power, athleticism, and the quality of opponents is much better for Harris. Besides, East was dropped in the first round by some shmuck on the local circuit here in Minnesota.

Leans:
Pettis decision Barboza
Whittaker decision Natal
Fili sub Rodriguez
Pettis decision Kelades
Vick KO Franca
Hester KO De Lima
Lee dec Escudero

"the bunker"
looks from here like a lee/escudero decision is more probable than not...and east/harris not likely going to the cards...parlay fodder(or you could parlay both props at a little better than even money..might be smarter to separate em)...

as I said before,i don`t think Johnson is anywhere near the best pfp fighter....not close..he`s in s weak division and lost vs the only relatively elite guy he faced(Dominick cruz...and he drew with ian mccall and lost to brad pickett)....beating Dodson and los. Benavidez doesn`t make you king... beating guys like cormier, the current version of anthony Johnson,gustafsson,machida,texeira........now that`s a resume....

I`m not saying m.m. is garbage......he`s good(cocky as hell and confident)...and it might be too soon for cejudo...but cejudo`s no stranger to competing at a high level and he has real wrestling and stand-up skills....if he can somehow neutralize Johnson`s speed advantage,i think he might have a chance to make it interesting....

really looking forward to pettis/Barbosa.....pettis went from being the next superstar to an afterthought...he`s a finesse fighter who struggles vs strong guys that won`t allow him to stand around and pick his spots(and like others on the board,i think his brother`s way overhyped..just not sure kelades is the guy to expose him).....curious to see if pettis has improved his physical strength(dos anjos ragdolled him against the fence)..... Barbosa should be willing to fight a stand-up fight at range so that helps pettis...but can pettis withstand those leg kicks(and will Barbosa use them as he should?...he falls asleep occasionally)...pettis shouldn`t present a huge threat to take pettis down...it`s more likely that if things are going south in the stand-up for pettis,he may be the one to try and take it to the mat to try and submit Barbosa.....but is he physically strong enough?.......

really interesting fight....this would be pettis` 3rd consecutive loss if he blows here......

rodriguez/fili should be fun...good card....
