Fight was rather lack luster until that point. Maia will never beat any elite fighter who has good take down defense.

Why? Because he thrusted his body against Shogun for 5minutes?

Shogun almost finished the fight 2x, yet was never in danger.

Shogun easily lost the third round and did nothing for 4.55 of 2nd round.

Look how many gave the decision to Anderson.....Rua got a gift Brazil win, he did not win that fight.

Oh and the knock down at end of the 2nd round wasn't that devastating.

You do realize the only difference between someone in the media/internet and us on here scoring the fight is the fact they get paid to tell us how they scored the fight. If that's your meter of "knowledge" then the people who literally get paid to score the fight, picked Shogun.

Close fight, Shogun won. Anderson should've tried to actually do something with those take downs.

When 94 percent of MMA media give the fight to Anderson that tells you enough.

Rua did not win that fight.

I remember Jon Jones doing virtually nothing for an entire round, in fact got picked apart, then landed a spinning back fist on Gustafsson, yet won that round.

Wasn't that devastating? How do you know? Were you the one hit? lol
