"i wouldnt not bet anybody of the two straight."

Does that mean you think there is value in Liddell @-350 and Rua who I just saw at -265?

No sorry just bad english. (meaning no bets on either Liddel nor Rua)

Rua at -265 seems tempting though.

But i am very new to this sport so my opinion is pretty meaningless.

Machida as -200 was a good bet i hope but now at -265 i dont now.

Sorry no green light from me

Romi wish the other guys were here. I can't recommend anything. I will sat i bet shogun but that is because i trust lay's judgement. All the talking seems to side with Lay so im there. I just can't bet liddell at that price but if the odds were even id bet Lidell. So no need for me to take Jardine if i think Lidell will win

I wish I had as much confidence in my Forrest pick as 1837, I didn't bet much at all.

Mauricio had awful conditioning among other things.

I held off on both. I don't know enough about these guys to put anything on it. Thx for the input.

it seems increasingly apparent to me that in today's current mma landscape, unless you are OTHERWORLDLY in one of the facets of the game, either striking or ground then the key determining factor in winning mma fights consistently is a) cardio b) heart as in continue trying for the entire time. shogun got tired and griffin kept coming and won the huge upset, and jardine followed a solid gameplan and kept executing it to pull off his win. it's also apparent that taking huge underdogs is a solid idea, as the little gloves, clueless judges and wind sucking grappling make the sport very hard to cap.

congrats to the winners, and I wish I had the guts to keep betting.

And maybe now I'll stop hearing about how great Pride was......these guys coming over to the UFC and getting schooled (Cro Crop, etc.) nice to see...Shogun was completely dominated and gets submitted....Forest put a beat down on him in Round 2 and 3...and just to add the cherry on top he taps out...priceless. Maybe now I can stop seeing these "publications" giving so much praise to the old Pride fighters...I mean enough is enough!

oh wait.....still got Wanderlei Silva and Fedor.....nevermind...I'll have to hear how great they are as well :s2: I mean Fedor has fought like 2 times in a 100 years.....guy needs to step up and fight and quit living off his past.

also..........great gameplan by Jardine....he just kicked the ribs/leg of Chuck over and over again. Cocky chuck was taught a lesson....was nice to see.
(ya think Houston Alexander is happy!)

I certainly miscalled the Chuck vs. Keith fight. And with that post I made earlier I ended up convincing myself that Chuck was a worthy bet.

You hear all this talk about the Jackson camp, the Millitech camp but you never hear anything about the Colture camp:shrug: Somebody mention something about Steriods earlier in our discussions and i think it is playing a part in this. Even Rogan mention something last night in a round about way. Anything over 2to 1 in these fights i think i will leave alone from now on. To many things can happen. Im starting to think these pride guys are just a bunch of tuff guys who don't like to train that much. You see how Rampage has completely changed his traing to stay on top. Shoguns conditioning was brutal. I have to hand it to Griffin. I didn't think he was capable of sticking to a plan but this is where Coulture comes in. Fighters should be swarming to his camp.

It does seem like Randy's guys are doing well. I am sure there will be more making there way to him. Forrest is nuts and it was nice to see him win. Shogun's performance was pathetic. As for Chuck, dodge his bombs and he really isn't that good, enough said....so much for his next fight they were touting all night.

Great job kickserv

wow, I hate to show my face around here. I'm still in shock about Shogun's performance. Not so much that he got beat but that he gassed so early. I know the UFC is different but for cardio it should be easier for these guys. they're use to going 10minutes before their first break. Shogun didn't make it 7 total before you could tell he had nothing.

1. could have been too pumped and had an adrenaline dump.

2. Under estimated Forrest and didn't train hard enough

3. Steroid, I honestly don't think it's this because there are ways around it. If Osaka Polit(spelling but he's the 100m track star) can get around it with that testing than so can UFC guys.

I MAYYYYY stop betting on these fights because I see it's doing the same thing as what happened to me in football and basketball. You become less of a fan of the sport and certain teams and all you care about is the bet. I love MMA and I want to root for great fights and not for who i want to win. I'm happy for Forrest, he was amazing!
