I agree Bro. Brock is big and scary powerfull but he will take Mir to the ground and Mir can be great from his back.

I want the Belcher line to come out. If Grove could sub him, then I am sure Ricardo will sub him.

Here is my problem with this Lesner/ Mir fight. everyone is talking like Lesner is some monster but the reality is that he was a good solid wrestler in college and not a wrestler like an Olympic wrestler. There are reports when Kurt Angle and Brock would go at it for shits and giggles Angle (an olympic wrestler) got the best of him every time. This is in a shoot and not the fake shit they did for a living. Angle is all of 5ft 10. So this so called wrecking machine isn't as great as the build up. Now the reason i love this sports is that i haven't seen one matched rigged yet(well i saw one but that was because of those shitbag boxing judges Roth,Ford, and Morretti from Vegas who somehow got to judge and Rogan said it was the worst decision he ever saw in MMA history). Thats in the UFC that is. I just don't trust Mir. There is no way in hell he should be a dog in this match. Lesnar has won one match and the guy laid there like a tackling dummy. I just think Mir eats him for dinner if this is on the up and up. If the Mir with the attitude comes to fight this is over quick. If he is there to further Brocks career that is another story. Since i haven't seen a fighter fix one in the UFC yet im on Mir.

If Lesner cant beat a gun shy Frank Mir who has not been the same Frank Mir since his return then he will be a total UFC bust.
I think Lesner overpowers Mir and getes a knockout.
Cruz and Vera KO'd Mir and I think Lesner will come in with this tactic before trying to go to the ground.

I wish Mir could be the old Frank Mir.

The old Frank Mir had all the tools and skills to be one of the best of all time. His striking was very good, and his ground game was amazing. I honestly think that had he not got in that accident, and he continued to improve his game, he'd be up there at Fedor level. He WAS that good.

I would take experience and tactics over strength anytime, but damn, Lesnar might be the strongest guy on the planet. I want to see this one. One has to ask yourself where Mir is at mentally and what kind of shape he will be in?

BUCSnotYUCKS.........if Mir is like Fedor that means he would only fight once a year against guys my grandma can beat :mj07: :mj07: So guess I should up my wager on Mir then huh :mj07:

Fedor...if anybody on the planet is more over-rated then him I'd like to know who that person is.......Fedor hasn't fought anybody decent since the ice age....yep that long ago:mj07:

and I don't care what anybody says...Mir at $2.25 is way way to good to pass up....I might even add an additional Rogan:SIB

and man I hope they show that Eastman fight.....GW is bang on......talk about 2 guys that will just smash each other....how that can not be a "main card" fight is beyond me

Usually the card before the superbowl is a super card and this is below average if you ask me. They are hyping a guy that has one fight who might be out of luck in the first thirty seconds and then you have the borefest in Silva fighting what will be another boring fight with Noguera. To me this card sucks like the last one, especially being right before the superbowl

Fedor is definately not overrated. However, I will agree he hasn't fought anyone since the ice ages.

For what it's worth I think this is the worst card I've seen in a long time. It has a chance to be a total snore fest.

I personally think Lesnar is going to smash Mir. I know the first guy Lesnar faught was a can but his hits while on top were as hard as I've ever seen.

This bet is a total value play. I think Silvia is a hard matchup for Nog.

On all access last night Mir is training with an olympic wrestler and that is all i need to see. Im going with Mir. This isn't king Kong he is fighting. I wasn't impressed at all with the way Lesner was swinging his hands or throwing his kicks. Typical qrestler pushing his punches. Lesner gets him down Mir submits him unless he gets hit with a lucky blow. Maybe someday for Lesner but its not his time. Should have put him in with Tank Abott or someone like that.

Can't believe nobody's interested in the Marquardt and Jeremy Horn fight.

I'm excited to see Horn back in the UFC.

This PPV has the potential to be bad, but I think the card itself isn't that bad. Mir, Nogueira, Sylvia, Horn, and Marquardt are relatively big names in the MMA world, especially Sylvia, Nogueira, Mir, and Horn.

i see where you`re going,layin`...i was thinking that silvia will be a difficult out for nogueira,too...

as far as horn goes,if i never see him again it`s to soon...dull,dull,dull......and he looks to much like gumby....

i guess he could beat marquardt...catch him in a sub..he`s dangerous, but i suspect his best days are behind him...i`m just not a horn fan...

After the last fight Horn had here in Dallas he's going to have to prove a lot to me before I would ever think of taking him. He quit in his last fight and I lost a lot of respect for him because of it.

Seems to me that Horn's best days in the UFC were the couple of years he spent here in town in the Miletich camp...

He certainly hasn't shown much his last few times out. I agree he could catch Marquardt, but I sure as hell ain't gonna risk any $ on him.

Also see this card as a relatively weak one. Glad all I have to do to watch it is walk a few blocks up the street to my neighborhood watering hole and see it for free--well, minus the 2 or 3 beers I will drink...:drinky:

Don't know what to make of the Mir Vs Lesnar fight. A 'roided up WWF freak Vs a now meek Frank Mir. The Mir of before the accident would have blown thru this dude in less than a round, but since that accident, Mir has looked like well, a defeated fighter even before the bell has rung....
