Bad call on the Eastman/Martin fight. Expected a little more out of Martin because I think he's better than that.

Glad I could get yah something on Emerson. I didn't get to bet tonight cuz I'm a lil busy with other things and couldn't watch the fight. However, Emerson would've been one of my bets. Nakamura isn't very good.

Frank Mir wins, and from what I'm reading on Sherdog, Frank Mir got a lucky break when Lesnar was pounding him, and pounding him good.

Lesnar got deducted -1 pt when landing a punch. WTF, don't most fighters get a warning?

Chalk this one up on inexperience. As he gets more into it, he's gonna be a force.

that footlock was a thing of beauty. The point deduction was a bit harsh because Mir was turning his back to him.
But the way he got that footlock under assault of that monster. Respect.

Lets go Silva

For what it's worth I think this is the worst card I've seen in a long time. It has a chance to be a total snore fest.

I personally think Lesnar is going to smash Mir. I know the first guy Lesnar faught was a can but his hits while on top were as hard as I've ever seen.

This bet is a total value play. I think Silvia is a hard matchup for Nog.

Silvia +171 1unit
I thought it was one of the better PPV for UFC i have seen in a while. The undercards had one decision and the rest were submissions. Brock really hammered his opponent, but you can't let up for a second in MMA.(which also could be seen in the main even. )Brock probably enhanced his buy rate (ppv value) showing that he can really fight in UFC. he did not go out like a punk tonight.
Does anyone think this was a bad UFC? i don't glad i got it. i have seen alot more hyped cards that didn't come close to this one.

Marquart (-221) over Horn-large

I don't think I'd even pick a prime Horn over Marquart and now that Horn is shopworn, I definitely won't be doing so. I think he's just too physically weak and worn out to threaten Marquart.

Sylvia (+169) over Nogueira-medium

Tim will likely prove too difficult to take down and standing he should be able to either smother Nogueira in the clinch or box him on the outside.

Eastman (+199) over Martin-small

Martin will probably win, but they're both chinny punchers, so it's worth a small bet.

Tibau (+321) over Griffin-small

Again Griffin will likely win, but his fights are usually close and Tibau will be close to 185 come fight time, so it's worth a shot.

Nakamura (-241) over Emerson-small

Emerson has looked bad on the occasions that I've seen him. Nakamura will be debuting at 155, so I'm only going small on him.

I don't know what to make of Mir vs. Lesnar. I've never thought much of Mir even before his accident. His biggest win was over a mentally absent Sylvia. Instead of keeping the fight standing, Tim takes it to the ground and then watches as Mir blatantly and not quickly repositions himself for an armbar. His 2nd biggest win was probably over Dan Christensen or Wes Sims. His endurance has always been bad, which leads me to believe that he simply has poor endurance. If this fight goes past a couple of minutes, Mir is likely in trouble. However, with Lesnar's inexperience I'll be staying away.

Thanks to my big bet on Marquart I came away with a small profit despite going 2/5. My bet on Tim was a good one despite his losing and to be honest seeing him lose was bonus, I'm not a fan of that guy. That bet on Nakamura was a foolish one though.

"the bunker"
i was very disappointed in sylvia....he put some serious hurt on nogueira...

but, once he hit the mat and noguiera turned him, that was it....his comments after the fight were telling...something like"nogueira takes a beating in the first 10 minutes and then finds a way to win".....he was up 2-0,imo...

that tells me that when sylvia didn`t finish nogueira, that he lost a little confidence....and once he hit the mat and didn`t have the top,he was finished...

all he had to do was stay in guard....don`t fool around...he was easily having his way on his feet...play if safe....get to the 4th...

i decided to play both hvwt dogs in a par at over 5-1.....i`m not happy...lost a lesnar/nogueira par ,a sylvia/mir par and a flat on sylvia....

hit dog plays on eastman and emerson and parlayed marquardt with a future(under 9.5 in margarito/cintron)....so it was basically a wash...

but if sylvia finds a way out of the 3rd and wins,i would`ve hit big.....ahhh,wth.....you put your 2 rounds in....go party(i`d rather you go dunk that big anvil-head of yours in a septic tank).....

had me all het up with 2 rounds in the bag ....:142squint ..

HELL
I think that was the best thing that could happen to Brock. Now he knows what he needs to work on and that will come with more fights, but god, he is a freak of nature. He was on the verge of "killing" Mir and because of his lack of experience he got caught in a foot/ankle lock. I for one truly believe he can be good for the UFC. I know I will tune to watch his fights.

Nice Going, Kickserv
nice going indeed, I will follow in future
I was disappointed when Lesner was forced to stand up after that rabbit punch, he did take mir down with ease, but I gota hand to him for the win, the next belt fight should be a great one

Could not agree with you more on Nakamura.

He cost me $3,500 on 3 seperate parlay's. All the other fights came through.

I had a shit load of bets going this weekend.

I won on Boxing with Clay and Oakey.

I won on Nate the great in UFC.

I won 2 NBA games. I bought 3 1/2 points on Charlotte. I am sooo glad I bought points as they covered my bet by 1/2 point!!!

I finished the week up $600 but it would have been over $4,000 if Nak had won.

Well crap, I've been very busy lately and I guess it's making me absent minded. I didn't remember that the Nog fight was a 5 rounder, not that it would have mattered but I would have steered clear of big Tim if I would have known that. 5 rounds vs a guy like Nog is a lot different that 3. Again, it wouldn't have mattered but it would have kept me off of Tim.

Happy for Mir, I wouldn't have minded Lesnar winning until they showed all of the wrestlers there.

Nice plays, kickserv.

Regardless of how "good" the card was prior to the fights, this turned out to be one of the best full nights of fights, imo.

I think if Lesner sticks with it and dedicates himself, he will be a tough match-up for most. I can't imagine that he was able to cut to 265!

Felt the same way Wease. Just pathetic what he did once he hit the mat. Like he figured he went far enough and now he will just get rolled in a submission and call it a night. He fought such a smart fight but i kinda felt like i was done when he was throwing those stupid two inch hammer fist on the ground that basically do nothing but wind you. He looked awfully tired in round two for just throwing punches. I know throwing punches is exhausting but this is a guy who has done it in five round fights on more than one occasion and this one he is somehow winded? Is this why Heath Hermin wouldn't go to the ground with NOg? Is he really this good? I guess he is if you are gonna just give him your neck and call it a night.
I don't see anyone beating Nog in the future unless they can box. Not someone who can box but when they get him hurt waste so many punches that wind up just winding them.

Got to admit it looked like MIr was gonna call it a night the way he coward on the ground. thank goodness he turned around and got in guard. To many people get caught up in all the hype from a guy who had one fight and size. By the way some of these refs have to get their head out of their asses. Lesner taps and the ref just lets the fight go on lol. He starts tapping harder and the ref now steps in. Surprised his leg didn't get snapped. What did the ref think Lesner was doing the first time just spanking Mir for the fun of it?
