Main Card
-------------

Anderson Silva Vs. Dan Henderson
Heath Herring Vs. Cheick Kongo
Yushin Okami Vs. Evan Tanner
Chris Wilson Vs. Jon Fitch
David Bielkheden Vs. Diego Sanchez

Prelims
----------
Jake O'Brien Vs. Andrei Arlovski
Luigi Fioravanti Vs. Luke Cummo
Alessio Sakara Vs. Chris Leben
Dustin Hazelett Vs. Josh Koscheck
John Halverson Vs. Jorge Gurgel

as I type this, the Andrei Arlovski and Josh Koscheck fights are prelim fights :scared There is a chance that they will NOT be shown on the PPV:scared

This is rumoured to be Arlovski last fight in the UFC (rumoured he'll be getting big money to fight Fedor if Randy can't work out that lawsuit crap with the UFC) but man what a slap in the face to Arlovski. Guess it sort of makes sense if UFC is done with him that they don't want to show him:shrug: But that's low of the UFC in my opinion. And then there is Koscheck, I am not a big Koscheck fan, but didn't he just fight GSP and now he might not even be shown on PPV:shrug: The main card and prelim fights make no sense to me on this one. Although at least they won't show Jorge Gurgel on PPV again:142smilie

getting on this early, think odds will drop on Kongo. Also, like Anderson Silva and John Halverson but will wait until closer to fight time. :SIB

funny you posted this. I wrote a post of about the main fight in November ans was gonna bump it up today but didn't want to bump up old shit. Can't believe how fast time is zooming along that a few of us were talking about this like it was yesterday. I can't wait to see the main event but once again to me beside that, this card is weak. Kick what you think about the main event? This is one i will just watch and enjoy. To me its gonna be great to see someone who won't be intimidated by the spider. Both are great fighters techincally the Spider is the better boxer(i think) but Dan the man can bang. If Dan wins this he is crazy if he wants to go back to 205. He wins this he is an instant headliner on par with GSP. And if he wins and GSP even thinks of stepping up to fight Dan the Man my grandma would have a better shot at a rear naked choke on you then GSP has to beat Dan the man.:mj07:

Well first off......you can't compare anyone to GSP...I mean it is GSP the greatest human being on planet earth:SIB

As for the main event I like Anderson.....but I guess I should have got this one early.....two months ago he was actually at EVEN money :scared Now he's at $1.63 (-160) that is one hell of a difference, although I think lots of money will come on Henderson as time elapses. I just don't see anybody beating "the spider" I mean the guy is just amazing and he just kills everybody he faces. Henderson should last longer then anyone, but I don't see him winning. If you like Henderson bet him now the odds are great on him. Should be one heck of a fight:SIB

Also...lots of guys on this card I don't like.....can't stand Diego...love to see him lose again...man I hate that guy:nono:

But hands down best pick on this card is John Halverson, I don't care what the odds are :mj07:

I can not wait for this fight to come around. If Hendo can't beat Anderson then there's nobody that can. This will be a war and I'm not taking anyone(unless the odds keep rising because I already think they're good) so I can enjoy the fight. The reason I can see Dan winning is because of his ability to dominate from a wrestling perspective. The UFC doesn't have anyone else that has his skills(not Kos, not Hughes, not Lesnar) and he's got one of the best chins in the business.

What I really can't wait for is to see if there is and what happens when Anderson gets Dan in the clinch.

I think this will be the fight of the year and perhaps the best fight I've ever seen. A full 5 round war is what I expect but with these two guys going balls out, 3 might be as far as it gets.

Sorry Brother but this is one fight we totally disagree on.

I will be betting Herring in this fight. Kongo has fierce striking but he does not have a good sprawl.
I believe Herring puts him on his back and wins on points.

In regards to Silva/Dan, it will be interesting to see Silva in his deadly clinch. I believe Dan's wrestling is so good that he will trip Silva to the ground when they clinch. We shall see.

Lay good to see you as jacked up as me for this fight. Even tho i think the card is weak again i would pay just to see this one. I hope this is so good a rematch will be called for. I could see Hendo taking one of those knees in the chin and shaking it right off. Both these guys are beast in their own ways. I won't bet this either unless they keep jacking it up. anyone can win but ya got to look at Dan the man seriously if the value gets to good to be true. Of course it will ruin the fight for me when i bet it tho.

I will agree that Kongo is horrific on the ground, but his stand up is amazing......but this isn't so much a Kongo play but an ANTI Herring play. I don't think Herring is that good, it is just as plain as that. And there is no debate now...Pride was hugely over-rated, I mean I have done quite well going against the Pride guys....this is no different. Of course I have been wrong before....ok wrong many times:142smilie

And I don't know why Sponge is saying this card isn't very good:shrug: Looks fine to me. I find when people say the card sucks....it turns out to be good...and when they say the card looks great...it turns out to be a downer:mj07: Although.....as stated above.....the Prelims and Main Card should almost be reversed :mj07:

Arlovski getting screwed big time:nono:

Its okay its nothing special. You take off Henderson spider i couldn't careless about the other fights. Heath Kongo please. Heath claim to fame is one lucky knee shot. How about an Arloski /Gonzada match? Where is Tito still on the apprentice? Is Rampage gonna fight once a year? Christ i have to see Tim silvia and Bisping ten times a year headlining cards. Where is Rasheed Evans? I can go on and on. Instead i get Heath against Kongo ans the 2nd big fight. Where is Kenny Florian? He should be well rested cause he finish fights:mj07: Its not the fighters its Dana doing things on the cheap. Shogun still alive or do i have to wait another ten months until he fights Lidell? Hell GSP had no problem filling in for Serra and he is right back at it again next ufc. You think these guys need nine months to rest the way Dana runs things. Is Matt Hughes still sulking? BY the way this is what Vince Mcmahons father use to do with wrestling back in the day. He would have one decent fight and a bunch of awful ones to get you to pay for the good ones. Dana is conditioning you to accept every card anymore. Its kinda like the oil companies lowering the price to 225 a gallon and us somehow thinking that is cheap.

Fair enough Brother. I can see your point but I will stick with Herring.

A little inside info on Koscheck. He trained at our club in Niagara Falls. He is a superb athlete but I watched him get caught in subs numerous times by guys that are nowhere near as good as Hazelett. He might be worth a play. This was a couple of years ago and Kos has improved by leaps and bounds since then but you never know. Also, he is nothing like the Dick he portray's on TV. He was a real nice guy. He talked about some of the guys he trained with such as Frank Shamrock and he said NOBODY compares to BJ Penn. He said Penn tapped him at will.

Thought some of you UFC fans might be interested.

If it's true that Arlovski may be in line to fight Fedor, hed better not get too far ahead of himself.. Im making a small play for Jake O'brien at +275 -- O'brien is a former Purdue wrestling captain who tossed around Heath Herring several months back..

I feel like Henderson should be the favorite.. As impressive as Silva's standup is (probably the best in the game), i dont see his strikes phasing Dan.. after all, he didnt seem particularly phased by Rampage's blows at light heavyweight! And I feel like Dan will power out of any submission attempt.. Silva does have a mean spinning elbow and his signature clinch, though..

Henderson 3 units at +120
O'brien at +275
