Check this out....
I had to talk to her because the french translation in the UFC 83 program was just plain AWFUL and i knew they were going to have problems with the media here later on (it happened friday afternoon during the Q and A right before weight in). The translation was like.... having been made by a software or a google thing on the web (you know what i mean?, you click to translate a text in another language but it gets weird?). Anyway... i was, as you see from the pics, pretty close to her and when Dana told to a guy he needed to talk to his ''speaker'' and pointed out that lovely woman... :00hour I gave her my business card telling her i was a teacher and could translate 100x times better than the job done on those programs. She replied the job was done by a marketing group and wasnt aware of the bad job on it... She thanked me and told me a follow up would be done...
On fight day, i was 3rd row from the floor and saw her again, yelled at her, she came to me and told me that it appeared the translation job was made by a french teacher... :scared :142smilie :mj07: (wondered what KIND of French teacher she was...) and they requested full refund from her. Her marketing guy was pretty happy about me giving them the warning of the bad translation and they kept my card... Who knows... maybe next time they'll be coming to Quebec i might get a call for a translation job? :shrug: :mj09:
