Books opened Cote the favorite. I think money must have moved that line alot. It had to take alot to move that sportbook.com line to RA favored acouple days ago.

This card makes me

Ill be putting a pretty big bet on Tyson Griffin, although odds r lame.. :SIB

Probably all for me.. other than a minuscule play on Forrest.. very minuscule.. :SIB

not a monster card...but,if you look under the covers, there are some nice match-ups...

was watching forest griffin during the ultimate fighter show...

is it me,or does he loook much bigger?....what do thses guys do,once they hit the main circuit, that turns some of them into much bigger, more raw-boned looking guys?...

is it just the quality of training?....somehow i doubt it...

please don`t flame me..i could be wrong...

I bought Rampage pretty big at -240

I've seen him up to -285 at the same site last week

I don't see him losing to Forrest. He's got great wrestling, the better experience, unquestionable KO power and a very good chin.

I don't see Forrest being better than Rampage at anything other than submissions and *maybe* conditioning. However, I dont think submissions will play a factor in this fight because Quentin has excellent submission defense skills.

Even with the possible stamina advantage I just dont see Forrest winning this.

My guess is Forrest was walking around at about 240 on the show....... those guys really swell when they arent training full-time.

He does look to have gained some mass since his early days (he looked damn big against Shogun)....

Another great matchup in my book.. Both guys will be prepared to bring it for five rounds if need be. :00hour

Forrest has weighed in the 235 area for at least a couple of years. He's certainly one of the heaviest LHW.

I think Quinton wins, but looking back at his career it's evident that he has trouble with grapplers. For example, his fights with Bustamante, Arona, Murilo Rua, Dong and Lindland. Now, Quinton won all of those fights, but they weren't easy and some of them could have gone either way.

One of the annoying things about Quinton is that he has great outside boxing, both offensive and defensive, but he's easy to get inside on. If he was better able to keep distance, he'd be even better.

I expect Forrest will try and take advantage of this and make it a real smothering inside fight. He'll also likely see if Quinton has shored up his thai clinch.

Well said, muhr. I would take Rampage if we were just picking winners, but Forrest is the better value bet IMO. Rampage has been on a tear, but he definitely has some weaknesses, most notably defending the thai clinch as u said.. Also, Forrest will be a tough match on the ground (unlike Henderson).

Forrest submitting Shogun gives him major credibility on the ground... and he will be confident as always, especially having just beaten a guy who dominated Rampage.... Griffin also showed some nice takedown skills against Shogun.

Needless to say Rampage's power is always a concern, but he wont be able to have his way w/ Forrest on the ground (like he did against Henderson).

Just my thoughts... I love Rampage from a fan standpoint and no doubt he is undisputed champion at light heavy going into this fight.

Gotta love this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KMRMcVDZLE :mj07:

and this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1luFOd2y-nU

I think the line is right in my book... still made a small play on Forrest at +200. :SIB

I'm contemplating a Rampage / Tyson Griffin parlay.

I think they are both gonna take care of business.

I would just take Koscheck and Tyson Griffin if i wanted to pick two locks.. JMO. :SIB

This card bores me into a coma other than the Rampage/Griffin fight. I wanna see Gurgel/Miller, but thats just a personal thing... thats just an interesting matchup to me. Also, Cote vs. Almeida will be good, but cmon....... look at some of these televised matchups...... :jerkit:

If this UFC couldnt be called JACKSON VS. GRIFFIN..... it would be called UFC 86: :mj10:

after a second look,i agree.........mundane card at best....

i`m on cole miller for a little...i`m on anybody that`s remotely competent vs gurgel....

neither guy`s really faired well when stepping up..miller did beat leonard garcia,so that`s something...

small play...more against gurgel than for miller..

also like almeida as a dog(caught him at +115 early on)......and maybe even a small play on aurelio as a surprisingly large dog(+265)....

What performance of Gurgel's did i miss that makes so many guys on this forum think he is a complete scrub?

I think the Gurgel/Miller fight is a coinflip.. If anything, it has been Miller who has choked in a couple fights that i've seen. I think both r pretty solid MMA fighters.

Reason why I don't think Gurgel is any good is welll ummmm because he isn't :mj07:

But I will say this....he's better then Kimbo:142smilie

I always bet against Gurgel...always.....if you do this you'll win $$$$, that pretty much sums it all up:SIB

I dont believe u, kick... i expect you will be putting money on Cole Miller then, right?

Gurgel has gone 3-2 in the UFC... all three wins by unanimous decision... been finished only once in his career... I could pick a lot more guys in the UFC that suck more than Gurgel.

Surprising to hear from u that Gurgel sucks when u have one of Jared Rollins' fights listed as a fight u look forward to.

Now Jared Rollins...... he sucks. :mj07:

Gurgel= One of the most boring fighters in MMA History.
Cole Miller= One of the ugliest fighters in MMA History.

Tell me they are not showing this fight.

Not sure where to post this since I have a little of everything in this parlay, but it starts here with UFC 86 so I guess this is the best place for it:
Bet at 5dimes parlay:
Q Jackson
Koscheck
Griffin
Anderson Silva
Vera
Fedor
Aleksander
200 wins 821

Anyone see any of those guys going down??
