Come on, dude. His ground game is awesome and his sprawl is fantastic. You need to watch his old fights.

I should watch his old fights? Or should I watch Sokoudjou take him down, or watch Tito nearly sub him? Old fights don't do me any justice considering, well, they're old fights....

I'm not saying the guy is a slouch on the ground, but he's certainly not at his best on the ground. He's at his best counter punching, jabbing, picking, stepping back, you get the point...

Rampage will get embarrassed. And, that is going to be bad for the UFC. I do think a Machida Griffin fight is the best thing for the LHW division, but i also see this becoming the next Middleweight division where there is a champ and everyone else.

Rampage has a chance because he's experienced and game. I'm not a big Rampage fan, but I think Rampage can beat Machida.

Shogun will have the title this time next year, it's only a matter of time before he takes it, and just runs with it.

Machida is beatable, specificly I think Rampage-Shogun-Anderson....and even Dan Henderson can beat the guy.

i can't see anything Rampage can bring that will bother Machida. Rampage gets caught throwing haymakers a lot of time which will fit right into Machida's style. Rampage gets caught with Kicks which fit right into Machida's style. I think Rashad is quicker then Rampage and that didn't help him. Rashad is showing he does get hit a lot tho but as soon as Machida hit Page with one of those kicks, Page will be thinking about them the rest of the fight. I actually think Forrest could give Machida more trouble then Rampage and im a fan of Rampages and not Forrest.

Kick i didn't see the Sherk fight. I think u are bullshitting. He fought the same fight like he fought Penn?:mj07: Why does he feel a need to fight guys who are better boxers at their game?

he did, and it was brutal. Edgar was so much more precise and quick. Sherk didn't get off the whole fight. Truly a HORRIBLE game-plan by the muscle-head!

Credit where credit is due. He brought it last night.

The guy still hasn't lost a round in the UFC. I'm not sure what you guys need to see. Maybe he needs to tap out to punches and then win his title back. Not sure. Is he not at the top of the heap in LHW? Is it no longer the toughest division?

I never said he wasn't good, but simply said he was boring and you have to admit being a counterstriker made him boring at times.
I know he can beat anyone in this class by bringing I just meant he took the action to Rashad for a change instead of waiting like he usually does.

Best thing to do with guys like this and Gurgel or Arloski is just bet against them. What is funny is somebody in this thread said that Hughes got rid of his yes men and trained with Sherk. IM thinking is this a good thing? What does Sherk have to offer another fighter? Cardio?

yes, that's pretty much what i was getting at. i figured all he would need to beat the long island midget was to be in shape.
