Roger Huerta beat Gray Maynard $3.75 (+275) *1 Joe Rogan

There is no way that the odds will be this good once September 16th hits, I am on Huerta now:cool:

I am not sure why Huerta is such a big dog, guess I am missing something:shrug: I will take the sweet odds thank you very much. I mean Huerta is 20-2-1 and is no joke, I think taking him at those odds is a no brainer:cool: Plus I am not fully buying the hype on Maynard, Huerta may just sneak up on Maynard and beat him:tongue

Hmm, I thought Maynard was the easiest pick on the card. I don't see how Huerta beats him and mainly how he stops the takedowns. It's not like Huerta has big power to KO Maynard. Maybe I'm wrong but it looks easy to me.

i think back to huerta not being able to stop HIGHLY overrated, one dimensional leonard garcia...and his very fortunate late sub vs guida.....not to mention getting pwned by florian....

given maynard`s improved stand-up and wrestling pedigree, coupled with huerta`s inactivity,i`m having difficulty seeing a huerta win here...

i`m not saying huerta`s a stiff...he`s not...should be an excellent fight...and i can see taking the big odds...i wouldn`t lay the odds on maynard straight...

anything`s possible,i guess...but i`m using maynard in a par with cantwell(really impressed with cantwell`s progress) and condit....3 guys i`m seriously impressed with...

Can't say I disagree totally with you guys, guess I got sucked into the big odds. But with that being said, Huerta is no scrub and I think he has a shot:SIB

not terribly crazy about diaz/guilliard,but it`s an interesting match-up of styles....

actually, for a t.v. event, the main card is pretty solid with competitive match-ups...and there`s some talent on the undercard...

tonight on spike at 9,they`re showing credeur and nate quarry(they`re fighting next week) in different fights...and rua/liddell...never saw how jason macdonald got waxed by quarry,or the credeur/catone bout...

good stuff...

True GW, Tim has a shot that's for sure, but tough to bet against Nate, guy is rock solid.

And guess I am the only one that thinks Huerta has a shot:shrug: Considering this may be his last MMA fight ever, I'd figure he want to retire on a win.

we`ve seen this happen before,partner....sometimes the lone voice crying in the wilderness is spot on.....huerta`s no gate keeper or walkover....shapes up as a high energy, hard fight....

Yes, Jake Ellenberger hasn't fought the best of competition, but you have to respect his record. I say worth a shot at the big odds. Plus I think Condit is massively over-rated. Yes he better beat Ellenberger but I am not convinced he will. If Ellenberger can survive the first round I think he jas a shot at the big upset:SIB

I don't care that Silva had 12 minutes to get ready for this fight, going against Dollaway is always a good play:cool: I mean he lost to Tom Lawlor, lost to Amir Sadollah, beat Jesse Taylor and beat a one legged Mike Massenzio, big fucking deal. This guy isn't good, he just isn't. Going against C.B. and getting +225 seems fine with me. And yes who gives a shit that Silva took fight on short notice, big whoop. And yes I know "who the hell is Jay Silva"? Well I could care less who he is, if he has a pulse I'll go with him:142smilie

Nate Diaz misses weight......although has an hour to cut it, so he should be fine.

Everybody else makes weight.

Phil Nover will not win, walked into weigh-in without sunglasses. Takes sunglasses out of jeans and puts em on and then gets on scale. We all know about "the sunglasses rule". Stout will beat him easily. I thought Stout would win easily before the weigh-in, now with Nover wearing the glasses, he is done

Jay Silva looked like a bad bad man, a bad man:scared You gotta be on tons of crack to take Dollaway at his odds, tons of crack I tell ya.

I don't know how good the guy is, but if fight outcomes were determined by weigh-in photos, C.B. is going to get slaughtered......
