Under the instant replay rules put forth my the State of Nevada Athletic Commission the same result would have been reached ("No Contest").
you and i both know that if holland had k.o.`ed daukaus in that interim period(from headbutt to choke) that nothing would have been done....basically meaning that that was free time afforded to one fighter and not the other....
i counted 14 seconds from the point where daukaus slapped on the choke(against the fence...that`s not where the incident happened) to the point of holland`s tap...and that means that the fight had to get from the other side of the cage to the fence(the headbutt happened away from the fence)...so there was probably a good 30 seconds that expired from head butt to tap...the fight actually traveled across the cage...
mirgliottaa should have stepped in(his huge mistake)...but when he didn`t(as it turned out),he gave free time to only one fighter to finish the fight...
that`s why you have to have parameters....if they don`t get a handle on this they just opened pandora`s box....
