This is going to be the only time anyone gives a shit about Gilbert and the UFC is cashing in on his past titles while they still have some credibility. Benson rolls in this one.
Benson is by far more talented and ripped, but Melendez is a really good fighter. Should be good match up. Closer than most of you think.
Nobody thinks this will be close.

I see a lot of value in Melendez here. Henderson is bigger and could easily dominate but I think this line should be closer to -150. Gilbert will be motivated unlike his last fight with Thomson.

And you are wrong.......Melendez is maybe Top 10 in the division...maybe.
He ain't close to Top 5.
He is going to get toyed with in this fight.
Aoki used to be the most over-rated fighter in MMA.....after this fight everyone will see just how over-rated Melendez is.

I didn't say anything about him being top 5. I simply agree that this will be a close fight. Reasons:
1. He has good wrestling and and avoid takedowns
2. Not a great, pretty good striker
3. Motivation - last fight against Thomson he was not really interested in and it showed
4. Not a tangible item, but Strikeforce fighters have been coming out strong in their initial fights with something to prove and I think this will continue in this fight.
5. I could be wrong on 1-4 and kickserv is proved right.....doubtful, but possibile.:0003 :box2: :SIB
