DaMarques Johnson weighs in at 172 pounds

"Johnson originally weighed in at 172.5 pounds. He tried to lose the additional weight but only dropped half a pound, according to UFC.com, and doctors would not afford him any further attempts. He will fight Riddle at 172 pounds and was docked 20 percent of his purse."

Pathetic.......just pathetic....make the fucking weight:nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

u act like it is just some simple thing to make weight. not as easy as it loooks on paper for some of these guys. Some of these guys push it so close to the limit it amazing they don't pass out when the bell rings

Yep....Riddle gets the money.

And as I always say, if you don't make weight...you shouldn't fight. It is the UFC.....the top dog. Make weight or fuck off. If you can't make the weight, fight in another division. Complete dis-respect not to make the weight. If it were up to kickserv, all the money would go to Riddle and Johnson would be cut from the UFC. If you can't make weight in UFC, you don't deserve to fight in the UFC.

OK I only have one play thus far and will sit down later after I go to a BBQ and figure out the card tonight but I did get put this in already:

Brian Stann(+170) over Mike Massenzio for 60 wins 102. -- I think Stann can knock him out.

Also did Layinwood lose another avatar wager having to fly that crappy Mavs one. :142smilie

Jake Ellenberger is my big play of the card. He has looked good so far in the UFC and put on a great performance against Condit.
This is also my big play for this card.

I just hate the fact that Jake seems to blow hot and cold.

For a guy who is supposed to be a good wrestler, he tends to get put on his back a lot.

Watching his fight with Zach Light did not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Zach is dogshit and yet he was giving Jake all he could handle until he missed the guillotine which allowed Jake to punch the shit out of him.

I'm BIG on Jake as he is a beast who seems to have an iron chin and heavy hands.

I think he is a little better than Howard in most area's.

I just hope the HOT Jake shows up.

This will be my only bet.

:toast:

These are my opinions on some other fights-

The only chance Mat has against Jones is to grind him and test his stamina.
It's the only area of weakness I have witnessed on Jones so far.
BUT I will never bet Mat after watching his second fight with Nog.

I think Kelly is a good bet against Volkman. I believe Veach is a better MMA wrestler than Volk and Kelly did okay with him.
I have not been impressed by Volkman so far.

I think Okami beats Munoz easily. Munoz great wrestling has not translated well to MMA. Okami wins standing and if Munoz gets him down, he will struggle to keep him there.

Johnson/Riddle should be closer to even odds.

Mass could beat Stann easy if he just takes him down.

im not sold on Munoz either. He looked terrible against grove and got a little lucky with that win. thinking about going with Okama. By the way Wee i Heard that Mat had a pretty bad injury in that fight with Nog.

Maybe just the picture angle but Gomi looks a lot bigger than Griffin. I had expected him to be but still the photo makes it appear a bigger size difference than I would have expected

i`m remembering how hammill just toyed with munoz...literally ran him around the ring...munoz looked amateurish in that fight....

he`ll have to take okami down ala sonnen and keep him there...

as wee said,i don`t think he can do it vs this size/caliber athlete...still looks pretty raw to me...

like next week much better,wagering-wise......

jones/griffin...2 to win 1...always liked matyushenko...but jones just looks special...forget the striking and muay thai...jones` wrestling base is what makes him special...
what do you do with the guy?...he`s long..an amazing striker...and a top level grappler...

also loved gomi...just doesn`t look like he`s eveolved with mma...still too one-dimensional..

dana not doing gomi any favors(florian/griffin back to back)...

jones/ellenberger/griffin... .50 to win .75..not nearly as confident in ellenberger as some...this is a toss-up,imo...

waiting for volkmann to move to even or +...every prediction i see picking tellys...line not moving?....i figured this fact and volkmann`s shabby stand-up would move the line...not happening...might par him with okami...waiting...

some think i`m crazy for considering volkmann...i might be...looking at volkmann based on resumes` ...kelly`s had very favorable matchmaking so far in the ufc..when matched tough,he didn`t fair too well....volkmann was thrown to the wolves...veach was a legit 5` 7" 155 pounder...kelly(ex-170 pounder) just out sized/strengthed him....bullied him.....volkmann is also an ex-170 pounder...marcus davis toyed with kelly...and siver just out-struck him...had kelly trying for takedowns...

just a gut..but what concerns me is that i`m not sure volkmann`s heart is in mma...kelly is balls to the wall...

very small flyer parlay on irvin/kimmons...very small...just to have something going on the undercard...

The fight with Conduit was a split and Jake was destroying him in rnd 1
he did gas (which worries me)
but Howard has 4 UFC wins and could easily be 1 and 3
Hallman was dominating him until the final 10 seconds
if Jake avoids the dynamite in Howards hands, I think he wins easy

Im going against Irvin. This might be the most overrated fighter on the card. He had that Shamrock quit look about him last fight. I don't know much about the guy he is fighting but what i read, but to me Irvin is finished like i thought Nate Quarry was. We shall see. Only pick for me. If i had a gun to my head i would go with Okami and
Demarcus Johnson
