Els -120 over Duval @5Dimes
Bjorn -110 over Campbell $5dimes
Couples - 115 over Appleby @Wsex

Laying a little wood here on these.Appleby and Faldo were mainly go against, checking the water on Duval to see if Nike funk is still riding him, hoping Campbell will feed off his playing partners Aaron and Begay.

Gold Coast Australia
Anders,

Originally from Levin and moved over to the Gold Coast about 3 years ago. Hate to say it but the weather and lifestyle are just too good to ever think about coming back to NZ. But when it comes to punting as long as I have my PC who cares where I am !!!!

I closely follow the AFL, NRL and Super 12 (and have been for years) but unfortunately work committments means I can't spend as much time following the form as I would like. I am mainly trying to stick to Golf at the moment as it seems to be where I am getting the best results. Although I got on the Hurricanes at 3-1 last week which was nice.

I do keep an eye on the Off the Wall forum and time permitting I will throw in my two cents worth if I can find any winners.

Just to pick up on the Aussie vs US dollar matter, it is a great time to open an Aussie account where you basically get $200 against your $100. Spare a thought for those Down Under that are in the opposite situation when sending money to US books. I would be surprised if the Aussie dollar changes much in the coming months although interest rates are starting to come down now. But basically it all evens out once you receive the money back, if there is any left to retrieve !!!!

Stanley, I took the same bet...if Ford was only going to play one hole, why even show up and take somebody else's spot

He wasn't taking anyone else's spot, but it is a bit disappointing that he claimed in the local press that he would complete a full round and reneged on that

Make entertaining viewing though to cheer every bogey on the leaderboard

1st round update: 3-2-1 and -0.20 units

Just a break-even first day as neither 2-unit play won. Franco could also tie with Allenby and Janzen inflicted both defeats of the day: by four shots over Parnevik in the other 2-unit play and by five shots over Toms. Elsewhere, convincing wins for DiMarco by nine and for Furyk by six over Lehman and by five over Weir.

Much better news with the 72-hole and prop plays. The 72-holers stand 4-2-0 after 18 holes: Calc leads Durant by one, Furyk leads Olazabal by one, Lehman leads Campbell by three, Perry leads Durant by five, but Sutton trails Durant by one and Price trails Garcia by three. The cut props stand 10-3-3 after 36 holes where three players are right at the cut mark of the top-44. With all but two at plus odds, these could be the best plays of the week!

Finally, in the outrights three of the four are still in contention. Mickelson is 4th, Singh is 11th and Love is 21st after the 1st round, but Weir is down in 56th place, but that's still a lot better than he was after 18 holes last week!
