a play today should be no action play on janzen. he was not disqualified he was accessed a penalty therefore missing the cut at +6. he never teed off today. now if he had tedd of then the bet would be a loss because action had occured. Olympic is top notch and they should cancel all bets.

If you to the golf page at olympic and read the golf wagering rules it states:

Wagering on match-ups between golfers
The winner of the match-ups will be decided by which golfer ends up with the lowest score having played equal rounds. Both golfers must tee off in the tournament or the wager will be "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" and all money will be refunded. If one of the golfers misses the cut, withdraws, or is disqualified during the tournament, the opposing golfer wins the match-up. Often match-ups are updated after each round. These new odds will be for the entire remainder of the tournament

IMO, the play today is void. Any play before today is a loss. Consider the opposite scenario. If you knew that Janzen had incurred a two-shot penalty and would not play at the weekend and you limited out on Calc, would you expect Spiro to pay out. I don't think so. It would be voided as should a wager on Janzen today.

am happy for your 50/1 Sergio to win Ian, even if I don't have 50/1

3rd round update: 1-1-0 and -0.05 units

Split the plays for a break-even day and that's quite an improvement on events so far! Love defeated Bjorn by two, but Toms had a miserable day and lost by five to Cabrera. Still looks as though the 72-hole plays will be profitable. In the remaining plays, Azinger leads Calc by seven and Langer by five, Hoch leads Faldo by five, while Irwin leads Kite by one and Lehman trails Love by one. With Garcia in good shape for the title and Azinger with a chance for a place finish, could yet limit the losses of day one and the props.

Time for some major hedging - sitting on vouchers for
Garcia 50-1 (e/w)
Mediate 150-1 (e/w)
Cink 400-1 (win only)
So have sensibly backed
Mickelson 9-2
Goosen 11-2
Brooks 9-1
and have somewhat favoured Mickelson. I hope I am right and that no-one from outside the top 6 can win, looking forward to an entertaining evening!

adding 1 more @ $plays
Gogal -110 over Lewis

Will forgo any totals. Have come to conclusion yesterday I totally over estimated toughness of this course.Four players out of last five groups hit into rough on 18 (# 1 handicap)and 3 out of 4 par with Mick being the exception.Do believe Duval will have work cut out busting 70.5 as he will have to be aggresive with 5 players 4 or more strokes ahead, but will forgo the embarrassment of posting losing total on player 3 times in a tourney.

I like that one too, DTB. I am taking that one at +110, Chamblee (+125) over Maggert and Dimarco (+120) over Weir today for one unit each. +3.15 Units for round #3. +9.5 so far with 4 units still out on some players to place in the top 4, of which Cink and Furyk are still viable. Good luck. Come on Cink!

OK I'm a glutton for punishment adding
Duval over 70 1/2 +105 @ Camelot

Just so you don't think I've went mad on this play this week i'll give my reasonings.
1st He has only busted par in 4 out of 33 rounds played in U.S. Open and while many were in years he did not shine, his scores in last 3 where he finished 8th-7th-and 7th,his best 3 finishes, his score cards looked like this.
Pebble Beach G.L. - Pebble Beach, Ca. - Par 71 / 6,846 yards T-8 75-71-74-71 = 291 +7 112,766.00
1999 Pinehurst C.C. (No 2) - Pinehurst, N.C. - Par 70 / 7,175 yards T-7 67-70-75-75 = 287 +7 96,260.33
1998 The Olympic Club (Lake Course) - San Francisco, Ca. - Par 70 / 6,797 yards T-7 75-68-75-69 = 287 +7

He has fired at least 2 rounds per event over 74 and has escaped this week. I am going to bite once again and feel I was on right side if it does lose for 3rd time.

Final update: 1-4-0 and -5.90 units for the day; 18-33-1 and -40.77 units for the week

A record week for the wrong reason ... I should have given up when I saw how things were panning out on the first day! Very briefly, Tiger was the only win today; he was the only pick to break par and second-best was Mickelson at five-over! Of the five remaining 72-hole plays, Azinger won both of his as did Hoch against Faldo. The two tight plays overnight turned into losses as both Irwin and Lehman lost.

Update on outright plays: 1-2 and +0.38 units

Three picks in the top-12, so at least should be pleased with those even if they weren't that profitable. Garcia was simply awful and dropped down to 12th; Singh had a great day to recover a lost position and finish just one shot out of a place finish, while Azinger at least did finish 5th, but as alongside Kite, the shared pot was rather small. Enough said on that week!

PGA Tour ytd:
Matchups/props: 274-229; +26.76 units
Outright plays: 11-59; -3.92 units

All Tours ytd:
Matchups/props: 409-363; +12.58 units
Outright plays: 44-230; +101.46 units

Tough luck Ian. At least you had those hedge bets

Ian - ouch, truly feeling for you buddy!
frown.gif

400-1 - that's 100-1 for each fluffed stroke around the 18th green
eek.gif

Personally, went 6-4 in matchups, getting two 3-unit plays to make +4.8 units.

But awful last rds from Sergio and Lehman and a battler from Azinger scuttled the outrights (and two matchups on Lehman) to hand a small loss for the weekend.
Thanks to everyone for their help and advice

There are not enough expletives in the English (or any) dictionary to explain how I feel - especially as I had some major hedges on Goosen coming in - Ho Hum another day another dollar - have to hedge a little more on Brooks tomorrow
I am off to cry myself to sleep
