Well the US Open overall was very disappointing ending the week down 7 units.

I still have some chance of recovering after backing Goosen @ 40-1 following the rain delay in the 1st round. It goes without saying that Goosen should have won the event on the 18th but not to be.

I do favour Brooks slightly in the playoff because he should be in a more positive frame of mind. On the other hand I think it will be a help to Goosen having the playoff tomorrow as it may give him time to reflect and realise that he has a 50/50 chance to win a major.

Ian,

I am sure if you give it some thought you will come up with at least a few expletives to vent your frustration !!!!

I am new around here and wanted to say thanks for welcoming me and for the support towards a winning week. I won an additional 12.5 units with Cink 3rd place finish, and Singh nearly slipped in there for me too with a fine 64 today. One of the more remarkable finishes I have seen, and my heart goes out to Stewart Cink. With +2.3 units in the 2 ball today, -1 unit each on Singh, Furyk and Els to place, and the +12.5 on Cink, it brought my total week to +21.3 units. Thanks to everyone and good luck.

I didn't cash a ticket either, but after being there and working it all four days, it was one hell of an experience and todays ending was unbelievable.

Oh, me-o-my, mine flew out the window, too. Last night I was sitting in the catbird sit, smoking everyone: Cink, Azinger, Duval, Furyk, Weir= 5 in the top 9 !!! - didn't even need Durant or Sutton to come back.

And if Cink plays 18 adequately, I still win!

Well, won both (he has me on a limit of 2 since I help him write the prices - one free roll) my matchups...Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda

Guess we all know how it feels to have a suite at The Heartbreak Hotel...

Wow, what a week. In my life I have never seen anything like that. That was like a junior golf finish! I wish I could have stayed to watch today's round, but I have a feeling it's going to be some ugly golf. Both players will be over par. I think Brooks takes it, but it should be plenty ugly.

Cink at 66 to 1 absolutely killed me with that missed put. But I got him e.w., so a profit is a profit.

Week recap:

Field v. Eldrick - Win 4 units
Zinger v. Calc - Win
Hoch v. Faldo - Win
Janzen v. Couples - Win
Lehman v. Love - Loss
Janzen v. Calc - Loss (unbelievable)

Cink 66 to 1 - 3rd place
Duval 25 to 1 - Loss
Bjorn 80 to 1 - Loss
Lehman 28 to 1 - Loss
Janzen 80 to 1 - Loss

All in all, a profitable week. Paid for my trip and a little extra. Learned some very interesting things as I get ready for the British. Parnevik and Bjorn will definitely be on my ticket big time across the Pond.

All in all I finished well up on the week - mainly thanks to that 400-1 bet on Cink that allowed me to hedge so I won on Goosen
Match bets finished 2-1
Kite made the cut
Less than 5 players finished below par
Mediate e/w at 150-1
Azinger t4th for top US at 40-1
Oh - and it rained on the 1st day (thanks aldabra)
