It should be there soon, I sent it on friday. Hopefully I didn't get the same mail service that you're using to send those mugs that my players have been waiting a year for. We got 3 rooms at the riviera. Not a bad deal, it averages out to about 85 bucks a night + taxes. I understand that it's on the strip also. That's where the action is. No way I would stay out in the boonies like a lot of you other chumps. My boys are chomping at the bit to get out there.

I wouldn't walk anywhere on your side of the strip, Petey. North of Desert Inn Road is a dump. Maybe you should wait to go to Vegas until you can afford it.

I hate to tell you, blue balls, that i've been told the riviera is really nice and not dangerous at all. From your map it looks like it's right across from the circus where lots of kids go i'm sure. They wouldn't put a circus in a bad part of town. Sex Ape, what do you think?

Rooms look as nice as a Motel 6. They've got a food court with Burger King and Pizza Hut. But maybe this is the reason the Wrecking Crew wants to stay there:

that the Riv & Circus have been around 4 ever. Another block is the Sahara Hotel which Jack had one of his SB parties there. The place was clean and kept up nicely because the owners had class (Bennett). I don't remember what the rooms looked like cause I barely made it there after the party.
But a block past that is the Stratosphere aka "Crack Ho City".

So yes the further North on the Strip you go the worse it is.
Remember that the North End of the Strip is where it all began back in the 40's including....the Last Frontier, Thunderbird and Club Bingo.

In 1955, the Riviera Hotel became the first Strip highrise in at nine stories.
Yes, Men, The Show Exotic Male Revue. 10:00pm Wednesday - Monday. Dark Tuesday. Tickets $32.95 +tax & fee. Add $10.00 for VIP seating with line pass, is still running there but on the bright side JJ "dynamite" Crack Head Walker also stars there.
If you want to see him free walk down across the street to the Stardust. He hangs in the Sports Book.

Riv throws a SB Party with a live marching band at halftime & old greats that sign autographs, Miller Girls etc....
Still draws in the skank.
Jacks is much better.. classier, cleaner and great company.

If a cheap room is all you want (just for sleep) not to impress.
Riv, Circus, Westward Hoes etc... will definitely do the job.
Great deals on rooms all 3 have attractive room rates.

PS "they" put the Circus there back in 1968

How is their "The Frontier Race & Sports Book" ? at least it looks
good in pictures.... what kind limits they have when betting on sports ?

We, (Oy), & I try to get to LV at least 2-3 times a year. Have stayed there about 20 times I guess@ different places each trip. You'll won't get a better deal than Jack's IMHO, unless you are an insider like Nolan, Senor Capper, Fletcher, etc.
Sunset also has a really nice Sport Book compared to a lot of places on the strip, i.e., New Frontier. The Oyster Bar@ Sunset alone is enough for me, plus the new Hooters there is icing on the cake. And w/Sunset Station you won't have to wait for a cab, fight the crowds/ traffic or, even if you drive,- play musical parking spaces. LV is a lot of fun, but remember everyone heading there is looking to break the 'bank' and get a 'deal.' Even on the srtip in front of Treasure Island I've had the 'touts' trying to shove flyers/pamplets/books advertising for for Call girls, Party Hosts. Exotic Strippers, Personal Escorts and so on in your face. Wish they'd clean that up too as its mostly families waiting for the Pirate Show. Plus I've had friends from work try to use their services for private use such as a Bachelor Party or a tryst.
"Fair warning"- BYOB:Bring Your Own Babe, Bitch, Boob, whatever. I'm taking my 5 foot ricecooker.
Just my 2cents. :toast:

Well said.

Well said.

However did you know the pirates in the Pirate Show are no longer?
Yup they are replacing the pirates with sexy sirens.
Scantaly clad, fine looking babes.

So much for family. Maybe the smut peddlers will fit in better.

Labeled a Tequila Bar. A few TVs. Nice but not big. Since it opened we have seen a heavy increase of fights, drunks attempting to drive, bio cleanups etc...

Live bands most every night.

Thursdays is Catholic School Girls night. Cocktail waitresses dress up. ;)
Fletch you been there ?

Elvis, see the map above for Hard Rock's location on Harmon Rd. You should be able to get some good advice from this thread about how much $ is involved for the trip- not counting your wagers. I'm not sure how much cab fare is from Sunset Station to Hard Rock, but here are a few links I like to use for general info:
http://www.a2zlv.com/
http://www.travel2vegas.com/
http://www.worldwidevacations.com/usa/lasvegas/index.htm#Hotels

Should be a good time@ SB party, but Sheeesh- sometimes I think it'll look like the exercise yard@ San Quentin. At least the ppl flying in will be screened for weapons prior to arrival :p

And last, but not least- IMHO the best Strip Club in LV is just across the street, east, of Hard Rock. I believe the name is Paradise Club.
