They're lucky when they spell cardplayer correctly.

With 10% of the field getting paid Jack will still have to bump up the chip count to make the money I think, but he's off to the best start he could hope for.

He's going deep, real deep, think back to the AJ vs AQ hand and how much trouble that AQ has been for him. He's still in his seat for a reason.

So true-hes off to a great start for the day and his confidence is probably sky high right now

Chip Count
Here's a look at today's chip leaders and other notables:
1. Dmitri Nobles $533,000
2. Michael Lynn $370,100
3. Daniel Pelletier $334,000
4. Jason Strasser $320,000
5. Terris Preston $313,300
9. Daniel Negreanu $307,000
17. Allen Cunningham $258,000
40. Jeff Cabanillas $203,000
53. Joseph Hachem $146,000
63. Mark Vos $71,000

so that would put Jack somewhere between 53rd and 63rd.

Not really, remember that only lists the "Notable players". I would say somewhere around 150-160 is reasonable, and in great shape.

IE,

if you got that list from cardplayer that list is strictly a list of Full Tilt players and Full Tilt qualifers.

I would say jack is in the top 600 if i had to guess.

According to the official media release today the players in the 125th range had in the $140K chip stack range, so I honestly think it's reasonable that Jack is currently sitting in the 125-150 range.

Top 600 would only be top 50% of the field and he had 50K over the average, I think he is in much better shape than most realize!

Is anyone else surprised that they don't have better tracking of this?

The chip counts could easily be updated every 30 minutes or so at this point. Also, the number of players left could be almost up to the minute very easily.

Nolan needs to hire my company to handle this next year.

Think about what you are asking here. It would be a monumental task to update 1000+ chip counts that change every second.

I agree Cardplayers coverage isn't great, but it is a monumental task.
