the u.s. should have no delusions with the savages that we are fighting in afghanistan & iraq.

the thugs beheaded daniel perle in pakistan.

the thugs dragged 4 american civilians thru the streets of an iraqi town & then hung them.

a few weeks ago in iraq thugs slit the throat of an italian businessman

and today the savages video-taped the decapitation of an american businessman.

and what are we doing.

we are having, what gw calls a "dog & pony show" because a few soldiers were humiliating some iraqi prisoners. and all we hear from our leaders in wash. is that "we are above them" & we shouldn't"stoop to their level".
well this is a street fight. imo, in order to win this war, we have to fight like the enemy fights.

CAIRO, Egypt - A video posted Tuesday on an Islamic militant Web site showed the beheading of an American civilian in Iraq (news - web sites), and said the execution was carried out by an al-Qaida affiliated group to avenge the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by American soldiers.

The video showed five men wearing headscarves and black ski masks, standing over a bound man in an orange jumpsuit ? similar to a prisoner's uniform ? who identified himself as Nick Berg, a U.S. contractor whose body was found on a highway overpass in Baghdad on Saturday.

"My name is Nick Berg, my father's name is Michael, my mother's name is Susan," the man said on the video. "I have a brother and sister, David and Sarah. I live in ... Philadelphia."

After reading a statement, the men were seen pulling the man to his side and putting a large knife to his neck. A scream sounded as the men cut his head off, shouting "Allahu Akbar!" ? "God is great." They then held the head out before the camera.

Berg was a small-business owner from the Philadelphia suburbs, his family said Tuesday.

Berg's family said they knew their son had been decapitated, but didn't know the details of the killing. When told of the video by an Associated Press reporter, Berg's father, Michael, and his two siblings hugged and cried.

"I knew he was decapitated before. That manner is preferable to a long and torturous death. But I didn't want it to become public," Michael Berg said.

The video tape included a statement by one of the executioners:

"For the mothers and wives of American soldiers, we tell you that we offered the U.S. administration to exchange this hostage with some of the detainees in Abu Ghraib and they refused."

"So we tell you that the dignity of the Muslim men and women in Abu Ghraib and others is not redeemed except by blood and souls. You will not receive anything from us but coffins after coffins ... slaughtered in this way."

The video bore the title "Abu Musab al-Zarqawi shown slaughtering an American." It was unclear whether al-Zarqawi ? a lieutenant of Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) ? was shown in the video, or was claiming responsibility for ordering the execution.

The Web site on which the video was posted is known as a clearing house for al-Qaida and Islamic extremist groups' statements and tapes.

The family of Berg, 26, of West Chester, Pa., said they were informed by the U.S. State Department on Monday that Berg was found dead near a highway overpass in Baghdad.

Berg's mother, Suzanne Berg, said her son was in Iraq as an independent businessman to help rebuild communication antennas. He had been missing since April 9, she said.

"He had this idea that he could help rebuild the infrastructure," she said.

The U.S. military Tuesday said an American civilian was found dead in Baghdad, but did not release his identity. State Department spokeswoman Susan Pittman said she couldn't release the name of the dead American, but said she not aware of more than one civilian found dead in recent days.

The military said there were signs of trauma to the body. Suzanne Berg said she was told her son's death was violent but did not want to discuss details.

Berg, who was in Baghdad from late December to Feb. 1, returned to Iraq in March. He didn't find any work and planned again to return home on March 30, but his daily communications home stopped on March 24. He later told his parents he was jailed by Iraqi officials at a checkpoint in Mosul.

"He was arrested and held without due process," his father, Michael Berg, told the Daily Local News of West Chester recently. "By the time he got out the whole area was inflamed with violence.

The FBI (news - web sites) on March 31 interviewed Berg's parents in West Chester. Jerri Williams, a spokeswoman for the Philadelphia FBI office, told The Philadelphia Inquirer the agency had been "asked to interview the parents regarding Mr. Berg's purpose in Iraq."

On April 5, the Bergs filed suit in federal court in Philadelphia, contending that their son was being held illegally by the U.S. military. The next day Berg was released. He told his parents he hadn't been mistreated.

The Bergs last heard from their son April 9, when he said he would come home by way of Jordan, Turkey or Kuwait. But by then, hostilities in Iraq had escalated.

Suzanne Berg on Tuesday said she was told her son's body would be transported to Kuwait and then to Dover, Del. She said the family had been trying for weeks to learn where their son was but that federal officials had not been helpful.

"I went through this with them for weeks," she said. "I basically ended up doing most of the investigating myself."

Very Sickening. They sought their own form of justice for the prisoner abuse scandal. We shouldn't be there in the first place.
That said we are there now and our people are being killed and our country is being humiliated. This is a mess. I don't have a solution but we need to stop playing around. Just win baby, and bring our boys home.

Terrible. Short of pulling all our guys out and nukeing them to meet their virgins what can we do? They hide among the civilians, in hospitals and holy places. I just don't know anymore. We try to protect the innocent and they use that against us.

We will not fight that kind of war and that is why we will not win, our troops are not allowed to fight fire with fire. In cases like this the bleeding heart liberals have us in this spot and while I am tending to side with the anti-Bush crowd these days I think this is an issue public outfry will not allow him to ignore or he will be looking for work in November.

And the damn politically correct folk keep on demanding that the gov. ask forgiveness and say they're sorry to the world. ****, everybody knows nobody gives a shit about those prisoners and the little harmless prank.

Now, since the U.S. is forced to apologize, these bastards come out and cut a guy's head off. And don't tell me these people have nothing to do with the prisoners, they mentioned them as the reason for the beheading and had requested a prioner exchange.

Should put them all together in a trash compactor along with Eddie. Damn ****ers!

Don't wait for an apology from the insane thugs or ANY muslim bullshit religious leader OR any arab state government official. We're the dickheads that fall to the pressure of the lame ass coward liberal commie political correct faggots.

Some folks are just blind AND stupid, they want to appease the animals :nono:

These fu**ing cowards are so gutless, they are afraid to show their faces wearing towels aound the heads.

They have no fu**ing god, they are just worthless pieces of shit that need to be eliminated.

AND YOU DON'T THINK SOME OF THOSE NAKED PRISONERS THAT WE "HUMILIATED" WOULDN'T DO THE SAME THING IF THEY HAD THE CHANCE. THAT'S WHY THEY WERE BEING HELD, TO FIND OUT IF THEY WERE MAJOR PLAYERS.

THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE, WE SHOULD DO WHAT WE DID IN WWII AND DROP A COUPLE WELL PLACED NUKES AND LET THEM KNOW WE MEAN BUSINESS.

BUT WE CAN'T DO THAT THE LIBS WOULD BE APPALLED AND THE MEDIA WOULD BE ALL OVER THE AIRWAYS CALLING FOR THE WAR MONGER BUSH TO BE IMPEACHED.

We are dealing with people who's religion and belief system we can not even begin to understand. While all of us were apalled by the prison torture photos, we can not even begin to comprehend the depths of the outrage it caused there. As a country we have never been more hated in the arab world then we are now. World War III is on our doorstep. These people believe in very harsh justice and a bust down in rank and one year in jail for the first soldier to be publicly tried in Baghdad will just piss them off more. They believe in an eye for an eye. Let's give it to them. Publicly execute some of theirs. Let them know that we can be just as merciless. Demand that al sadir surrender as well as all of his followers. Let them know that if these people aren't turned over and the hostile aggression stopped there will be grave consequences. Give them 72 hours for a full surrender and end to all hostilities. If they don't comply Fallujah should be flattened.

As much as I have seen the points that Eddie and Kosar make in other threads, agree with some and disagree with others, I am anxiously awaiting their appearance in this thread.

Totally agree. F*cking disgusting.

Kind of along the lines of what Stevie posted, I have a hard time coming up with what we can do to retaliate in this sort of, kind of war.

Ar mentioned that we need to fight fire with fire, Penguinfan mentioned that the liberals have us in this spot and nosigar opines that it's the pressure of the 'lame ass coward liberal commie politically correct faggots' that have us pinned down.

I know that everybodys emotions are running high after seeing this, including mine, but what I would sincerely ask you 3, or anybody, what kind of action would you take if you had full authority. What steps would you take? Start beheading civilians? Nosigar mentioned putting everybody into a trash compactor. Is that a solution? Maybe. Start summarily executing prisoners? Leave and drop a nuke on them?

When you're shooting at ghosts, it makes it a lot more complicated than 'let's take the gloves off'. The gloves are ALREADY off and have been since we got there.

I would honestly like to know what people would do if it was their decision. What actions you would take to give our guys a better chance to sucessfully implement a peaceful democracy in Iraq? What could we be doing more of, or better, over there to complete this mission.

Please save any rants on liberal pussies. Liberals did not get this country in this mess and they are certainly not responsible for what is going on there. If at all possible, try to give us some possible answers or effective responses to these types of atrocities.

Wow. My God. Do you really believe that Bush would effectively nuke the whole Middle East if it wasn't for those 'libs' and the media? I give him a little more credit than that.

Touchee Kosar, well put. The anger on my part mostly stems from putting us in a situation to have something like this happen, there is no fear of our reaction which will be the typical "We are saddened by this and promise to bring these people to justice" just like we were promised about Bin Laden. If we did not go over there to kick ass then why did we go, did we think they would just "come peacefully"? My comment about the liberals is based on the very foreseeable comments coming from them about how we need to further negotiate with these poeple to avoid these type of situations, well for whatever reason we are in this situation, we are in it, and it needs resolved now, 1 more life lost is already too many. I only wish I had the answer to your question, unfortunatly the answer would be to not get us in this spot to begin with.
As always I appreciate your point of view
