excellent points...i don`t consider your outline outrageous at all.....

now...after this poor man`s execution,it may be time to indeed "take the gloves off"..... ..it may actually save some american lives....

What does 'taking the gloves off' mean? Bombing cities, as tossing suggests? I have absolutely no idea how that could possibly help this 'cause'. Totally useless. If I thought there was even one chance in a hundred that this *might* deter these fanatics, then I would agree with you.

What we would end up with is 3,000 civilian deaths, 2 rebel deaths and billions more in reconstruction of our own destruction.

Notice when this video was shot......weeks ago

Notice how the major media news outlets say this is in retaliation for us pulling fraternity pranks on the prisoners......(story came out days ago)

SOMETHING IS WRONG!!!!

Maybe....just maybe the enemy is right in our midst!!! The news media seems to be our worst enemy and their propaganda makes me want to PUKE!!!!

MAYBE JUST MAYBE its time to take these captured terrorists and send their HEADS to SADR and other skinny bastards advocating terror making Saddam Hussein's the first to be sent!!!!!

Lets see how the Reprobates like that!!!!

Lets see how the "religion of peace" takes a little of their own medicine!!!!

When a trajedy like this happens I don't think we are Conservative, Liberal or Independent, instead I think we are all Americans just as on 9/11 we were all New Yorkers. This is the cards we are dealt, whether we like it or not. For those who hate Bush and all that he has done- what do you think it'd be like if Gore had won the Election w/ Lieberman as VP? It would not have changed the Islamic Fanatics goals one bit. These ppl are just looking for an excuse to justify their hatred.

I fully agree w/Dogs, AR, etc. in the sense that where are the Arab Leaders speaking out against these atrocities? We are our own worst enemy as we try to win a war against ppl who follow their own rules such as killing women & children, not just the men of what they consider to be the Infidels. Trying to reason w/fanatics will never work as long as we fight on our terms, not theirs. Most ppl think that we can't win the war on 'Islamic terror' by destroying al-Qaeda, but by eradicating the mindset which causes the terrorist to exist in the first place. OK- So we have humiliated innocent Arab men by implied photos & actions and they execute Westerners on tape. Where the f*ck do we start?

And , we don't even know who, what or where Al-Qaeda is anymore as evidenced by UBL still on the loose. We see 'Islamic Terrorists', and we lump every single one of them under the banner of 'Al-Qaeda' while they unite by lumping in all non-believers as the enemy or 'The Great Satan.'

We have a diverse and free society, but events like these make me question the Hollywood types, (Michael Moore, etc.), who show such contempt for our way of life, but it seems like they hardly ever speak out against the 'Terroist Perpetrators' during these times. As for me I'll stick w/vigilance and a strong Military.
As I said, we are our own worst enemy.

Constituent Relations

DANIEL L. DOW of Fremont, California was upset with his Congressman, Pete Stark. So he sent him a fax:

I am appalled that you voted against today's House Resolution 627, Roll Number 150. This measure would have shown publicly that you condemn the abuse of the prisoners in Iraq while simultaneously commend the service of the fine men and women who are serving in Iraq that bring honor to the uniform that they wear and to the Nation that they serve...
Much to Dow's surprise, Congressman Stark called back a few hours later, and left a message on his machine:

Dan, this is Congressman Pete Stark, and I just got your fax. And you don?t know what you?re talking about. So if you care about enlisted people, you wouldn?t have voted for that thing either.
But, probably someone put you up to this, and I?m not sure who it was, but I doubt if you could spell half the words in your letter, and somebody wrote it for you. So I don?t pay much attention to it.

But I?ll call you back later, and let you tell me more about why you think you?re such a great God-damned hero. And why you think that this general and the Defense Department who forced these poor enlisted guys to do what they did, shouldn?t be held to account. That?s the issue.

So if you want to stick it to a bunch of enlisted guys, have your way. But if you want to get to the bottom of the people who FORCED this AWFUL program in Iraq, then you should understand more about it than you obviously do.

Dow, who is himself a Staff Sergeant in the US Army, sent the recording to San Francisco talk radio station KSFO, who have been playing it on the air. Over, and over, and over again.

Good luck in the upcoming election, Congressman.

Sad I feal so sorry for this guy family. I Cant understand why they have to die for false reasons. Were going to defeat terror by invading Iraq. What BS. Just think what 200 billion could have done here at home really getting things in order to protect us. Just the jobs alone it would have created. Instead we lost all these men and woman soldiers. And other contracted workers. And it we wont be any safer then the day this war started. Dam could we have done so much more for our country. And why the hell did we not complete are first goal. Bin in Afgan. I dont understand why folks cant understand the real terroist were not in Iraq to start with. Just so Sad. You want to nuke some joint so dam bad. You should have taken out Afgan.

what has kept iraq from fragmenting into at least 3 different countries over the last 20 years?......

the answer?.....the iron fist of saddam hussein.....

the more i see of iraq(the middle east for that matter),the age old tribalism, perversion of religion, and general disorganized barbarism, the more i think that the only way to keep any sort of order in the middle east is by force...extreme and unyielding force....

hussein was basically a secular ruler......he was hated by many of the imams and religious leaders....

what kept them from pulling the b.s. that al sadr is pulling in falluejah?

the knowledge that saddam would crush them like a bug....

i know we,as a civilized people, will never be able to enforce the rule of law like saddam did...

like it or not(and i don`t like it),we`re there.....we have to finish this thing somehow....if we are going to leave troops on the ground after the governmental turnover,we have to establish that we are serious....not just there for radical target practice...

nothing else appears to work in this mess of a country....

right now,i`m really sorry we ousted hussein...i`m serious....we should have tried to stay allies with him.....a secular ruler in a world of radical maniacs.....one that`s not afraid to fight fire with fire......

trying to help this country establish their own government ruled by their own people doesn`t seem to register.....what do you suggest,kosar?......should we just ring our hands?

let me clarify...

let me clarify...

i don`t presume to have the answers.....the point is,that diplomacy and good intentions appear to do nothing more than get americans killed.....

the sledgehammer-like tactics of a saddam seemed to hold the country together.....

was he horrible?...yes..........a brutal dictator?....yes...

absent this type of discipline, this country will implode......

i`d just like to get this governmental takeover off and running and get our guys out as soon as possible....

my gut is that any kind of democracy or government of the people in this kind of society will inevitably fail....and whichever religious or tribal group is the strongest will overwhelm the others and impose their will.....and if it isn`t radical enough for the al qaida monsters and their brethren, they`ll wreak havoc on whomever is in the way of a radical islamic state...

It does not get much sicker than that. Feel very sorry for the family. Shows the sub-human pieces of shit that we are dealing with and they will stop at nothing until we kill every last one of their sorry asses. Very sad day. This is not the end of these kind of headline grabbing acts of madness. It will happen again.:(

So true. It will get worse before it gets any better.

I really hope people start to see what these animals are made of and that we must continue for a long time or else face this kind of rap on a daily basis.

There it is. The reason Saddam could get away with it and rule the country and the reason we will never be able to is that Saddam was one of them. They will never accept Americans imposing their will upon them and trying to guide how their country is to be governed, no matter how 'good' our intentions might be.

So exactly what are we as a country trying to achieve there? Trying to make a country something it obviously does not want to be? Helping people that, for the good majority, don't want our help?

i agree to a point....the item about him being one of them might be why the "al qaeda`s "didn`t mess with him....the other reason they didn`t mess with him is because their families and anyone even suspected of conspiring would more than likely be hunted down like dogs, tortured and murdered....

something we would not be willing to do...

i seriously doubt that the average iraqi was o.k. with his brothers being subjugated, tortured and murdered by saddam just because he was an arab....it probably had as much if not more to do with the fact that saddam was willing to do all these nasty little things....while we wring our hands and hold hearings.......

we can`t win in iraq...on that i agree...we are ill equipped to handle this kind of mess....to much media...to much guilt....we are to civilized.....we need to cut bait and get out....and save as much face as we possibly can...

what we really need to do...something that might help extricate us totally from the middle east.... is to put more resources into finding an alternative energy source....in spite of the big oil corporations....

but,is that even possible?

I saw the same graphic video on consumption junction......

yes, very sickening....

.....this thing is going to play out about like it does in Israel....another day, another bombing.......about the only thing we can be glad about is there's an ocean between us and them, in Israel they're like living together......

...not that we're not at risk here, as 9/11 showed.....just that the risk is not as imminent as it is over there in the thick of things.....last I checked we could still go to a bus stop in the states and not fear someone next to us blowing up......over there is another story.....

....whatever we decide to do over there, we better get done, because it's gonna be another day, another bomb..

...won't be a matter of if, but a matter of where and when and how many die.....
