I want to go with vtech on thursday but why is the line only at 10? last years game was played at Vtech and they won 55-6 and the line was also 10. This game seems too easy to win. is there something i'm missing? i believe vtech wins outright atleast by 20pts.

Look at these trends..

Virginia Tech turn the ball over less than any team in the league with 0.5 per game.
Hokies are the toughest team to score on in the league, allowing just 9.0 per game.
Hokies are the third best defense against the pass allowing 133.0 per game.

man, maryland has NO chance at all. its gonna be a shutout.

just wondering if you realize how truly difficult it is to win by double digits on the road in conference play, especially against a well-coached team -- and if nothing else, maryland is well-coached. after starting the season slow, maryland has been pretty solid in recent weeks. its always alarming at how many people are willing to just lay 10 or 11 points and not even think twice about it. virginia tech is a very good football team, but theyre hardly invincible. i dont think they have one of those wins that makes you go "wow" so far this season. the georgia tech win was a game where ball should have been in the hospital, not on the field. if this game is decided by more than 14 points, id be surprised. not in a hurry to back maryland, but virginia tech isnt gonna just show up and roll.

I like VTech as well in this, but I think we all have the same reservations... why only 10?

I am going to go ahead and throw down on them and hope they roll.

Thats some really good thoughts gman but i just dont see maryland having a chance against this team that is pretty much in a league of their own with USC and the few others. im sure the line will be moving up before game time. and if it doesnt, i dont know what to say. as long as its under 15 ill take vtech.

im not quite sure but it SHOULD be moving up. its at -10 now and i think itll be at around -13.5 by game time. if it moves the other way, i think the books are trying to get everyone to jump on maryland and make everyone think its gonna be an upset but its probaly a trap. i doubt its going to be moving in favor of maryland. the only reason why i think its this low and might be staying at 10 is because its AT maryland but i do not care if its at maryland or anywhere else. Vtech is going to hold it down.

daddy no disrespect meant here but i have to disagree with your analysis of the line movement. This game is not designed for the public to jump on maryland, in fact it is the exact opposite. In early betting Vtech is getting hit by public, yet line is totally stable. Be careful of this game if the line does not keep moving towards vtech, then may be trap to take tech, which IMO it is

Dont you all think that VTech will want to go out and prove a sound ars whipping after the USC - ND game was so close.

Statement game for Vtech ?

I saw the line at 10.5 this morning

i've never been to that sports insights site. i usually go to wager line to see the line movements and sportsbook for the %'s. on wager line the line moved from -10.5 to -10. as of right now on sportsbook there is 91% of the public on vtech.

:mj20:

I am on Vtech...their defense has had only 58 PA this year and MD has had 131 PA, Vtech's O has 236 PF while MD has had 131 PF...that is in 6 games. I think Vtech makes a point on national televised game tomorrow...

I am playing VT -10, 1 unit, and later I may back this up with a ML bet of 2 units...GLA! :yup

Don't always believe what you think.

Don't always believe what you think.

I heard this "Title" remark from someone here at Mad Jacks.
V-Tech screams for a play at this seemly short number. Maryland annually improves as the season progresses. 15-5 ATS the last five games of the regular season under Friedgen. Last year Beamer stuck it to the Terrapins 55-6 @ -9 @ V-Tech. This is a Thursday night game and that makes Maryland a dangerous dog. It looks like V-tech should roll. This line came out at the Stardust at VT-11 for a reason. What do you think of the line?
Best Wishes
