just checked in to see how you're doing. the dogs have been really good for nearly a week now. i'm showing 11-4 the last 6 days.

insane day today. far too many plays. personally, i'm not betting the cubs, because both teams are on at least a 3-game losing streak. are you not playing the angels, or haven't you got a line yet?

days like this, you just sit back and pray you don't get slaughtered. hopefully those dogs keep barking!

Saturday was another good day with the Rays’ relievers costing me a sweep.
5-1 plus a little more than four units bringing me to the high water of the season, plus 11 units. Smitty’s trepidation about Sundays is reasonable. But I think I’ll go for it again this Sunday.

Addendum: For those of you mildly doubting or disdainful of this thread and the work that goes into it, I need you to know that I spend at least ten minutes every day making picks, posting them and calculating a record rounded off each day. OK, sometimes seven minutes not ten.

Lesson learned.

It certainly makes sense that in the last game of a series, trends get reversed and the losing streak team puts extra effort into winning

Monday was nothing special. 4-3 and up a half unit or so.

It is really difficult to watch relief pitching. And it’s probably not that different this year. It just seems like it.

Also in extra innings, the lead off batter should bunt the guy around to third. Historically, he scores 50-55% of the time with one out.
