My opinions on a couple things in this thread:
I don't rate the coaching staffs much different, personally, and don't consider the Packers staff to be superior to the Bears, especially in a one game scenario. I think Lovie does a good job managing people and emotions, which will be important today (see: Martz). I respect Capers, but don't think he far surpasses Marinelli in scheming. I think McCarthy can get frustrated, and I think he makes some questionable decisions if things aren't going right. I think Tice has done a great job with the Bears offensive line coming down the stretch, as that was their biggest concern early on.
I don't think you can simply say the Bears pass rush/Peppers will have trouble getting to Rodgers due to the field, and not say the same thing about the Packers and Matthews. The Bears certainly have played on that field more, and better know what to expect.
I rate Rodgers ahead of Cutler in most respects, and think the Pack has a great thing going right now. I think the Bears rushing attack and passes to the backs are better suited for a game like this and will favor the Bears. Special teams nod to the Bears, I think, by a good margin.
Personally, I still don't trust Cutler, but he is certainly capable of big plays at key times. Disrupting Rogers early is the biggest key in the game, IMO. If he gets comfortable back there, the Pack should cover nicely. I don't really expect that today, but it could happen.
I think this is a no-wager for me, too many questions that I can't answer. If I were to bet it, I would take the Bears at home, probably.
Good luck everybody.
