heard a rumor, Pettis' flight got delayed a day, which shouldn't really matter but some food for thought. The big thing I heard is that Pettis is going to have to workout at the same gym as Henderson and Rick Roufus which Pettis camp is disgusted by since Duke and Rick don't really get along.
Have a friend that trains with them and thinks Pettis and Danny Downes are going to pull of the upsets. Obviously might be biased but knowledge on the board is always welcomed.

Damn, what a kick that was. Pettis has a very bright future. He just has "it" when he's in the ring. Very calm, much like Anderson and Aldo IMO.

There are some young guys in the sport that are on a different level in Pettis, Aldo and Bones Jones. They're all exciting and seem to have more talent than everyone else.

Pettis is very quick with his ground game. I personally think Maynard is going to beat Edgar so it will be interesting to see what Pettis does against Maynard. IMO Maynard is a far better wrestler than Henderson and uses it a lot more.

I thought the fights were very entertaining. Like I said a while back, I think Cerrone is going to make some noise if he gets to the UFC. Just not sure how much noise he'll make against the great wrestlers.

cerrone`s a head case.....i think he has i.q. issues....you could just feel that he saw horodecki as a walkover....against a little more well rounded competition, that`s gonna cost him...

and a great wrestler can beat pettis....when henderson was on his back and they rolled, henderson(for some unknown reason), released the full leg/body lock he had on him and pettis just swiveled...

couldn`t figure why he did that....

cruz is a beast at this weight...easy money there...who thought that slow-assed jorgensen was beating this buzzsaw?

btw,thong..pure striker=guys like paul daley and dos santos...

What an awwesome performance by Pettis! I think after he rode henderson for that whole 3rd? rd, it really took a toll on Ben's legs and he lost a lot of pop. How awesome was it when Pettis came in danced around, faked a move and Henderson went down, like a nice cross over dribble, breaking ankles. That being said, I CANNOT get over that head kick, I knew he was capable of doing those things but in a title fight, major props. I fear what happens when he fights the good wrestlers but he looked so good off his back and always active, I think he will be a great lightweight. Pettis by triangle over Edgar (Edgar is better than when he faced Maynard). Once again, props to Pettis for giving us a memory we shall never forget!

Definitely not "gaga" on him but he is very young and only getting better. His wrestling will improve and he will continue to get stronger.

He is exciting to watch and always tries to put on a good performance, can't ask for more.

QUOTE]

i put a few beans on Cerrone and that was exactly what i was thinking going into this fight. I figured Jackson would tell Cerrone over and over again that this fight was so important and this is his big shot for the UFC so don't fool around. Sure enuf he comes in fighting like a cocky ass. walking right into punches instead of fighting like a true mix martial artist. The more i think about this makes me realize how silly it was to risk 4 to 1 on a guy like this. He showed me tonight he can be out thought in any fight at any time.
