and a great wrestler can beat pettis....when henderson was on his back and they rolled, henderson(for some unknown reason), released the full leg/body lock he had on him and pettis just swiveled...

quote]

GW, Henderson may not be the best but outside of Maynard who is a better wrestler than him in that division? You said not to be gaga that he's not Aldo or Jones, come on man give him a couple of more years. He's only 22(I think that's what he was). He's going to be a very tough out for anyone. He has quickness, striking and he looked for good on the ground. Henderson has a good ground game and Pettis pretty much neutralized it.

How the hell did I miss Diego is going to be fighting my boy Martin. I swear Martin is getting a nice list of fights on his resume. I think that fight is going to be an absolute WAR.

PS For all those that think Edgar beats Maynard think again. Maynard will need to win three rounds out of the five. That means if he can get 3 takedowns with each being in a different round then he'll win because I think once he gets Edgar down he won't have a problem man humping him for the winning round.

i`m not saying he`s not good,layin`....he`s good.....i`m sayin`s he`s not "jose aldo/bones jones" good...i just think that`s jumping the gun...

this is a strong division and there are plenty of guys that can beat pettis...plenty of tests out there...

this fight was up for grabs until a flying knee mid 3rd round buzzed henderson..that crazy off-the-fence move never happens if henderson doesn`t get hit with that knee...that`s what had henderson flopping around,imo...

that kick may never happen again...

we all need to slow down a bit with the over-the-top praise,imo......

let`s see him vs the florian`s,the dunham`s and the maynard`s...hell,even the miller`s,the sot`s and even the guillard`s....hell,lets see against a guy like sherk who has the capability to take him down and keep him there......

we don`t even know how the big names in the watered down wec are gonna fair against the top 155 lb`ers in the ufc....

the wec has been cerrone/henderson,varner and rob mccullough then all the rest followed until recently......

how really good are these guys?

i`m curious to find out...but i`m not ready to make pettis an elite fighter..... just yet...

Thing is it could so have easily been Henderson that was the winner. He had that choke then looked like he tried to switch from a gable grip to the hand behind head technique and the moment went.

How does Pettis match up against Edgar or Maynard. Striking he is way ahead of both. If Edgar try's to move like he did against Penn then he will be kicking range. However both can and will take Pettis down but he is very active of his back

As for Horodecki what the hell was he trying taking the fight to the ground against Cerrone. On the feet he has a chance but on the ground he was way out of his depth

i'll never understand in my life how Edgar gets absolutly no love on this board. almost like his two wins over Penn were flukes. Frankie is a tremendous fighter with great hands, speed and very good wrestling even tho guys won't admit it. I'll be on Frankie against the Bully. these guys do evolve from fight to fight guys. To many guys like to think about fights back in 06 to make their opinions right. Frankie isn't the same fighter he was the first time he fought the Bully. If u ask me i think the Bully went back a peg or two and Frankie moved up a peg. A guy just keeps destroying people in his division Penn, and finally gets nuetralized by Edgar and Edgar gets absolutely no love for it.

Spone, I like Frankie. Heck I bet him in the first fight with BJ but Maynard is a beast at that weight. The first fight wasn't close and I know you said you think Frankie has improved and Maynard not but there's no proof to that. Maynard has dominated everyone. If it was a 3 round fight then I would give Frankie more of a shot but like I said before, Maynard just needs three TDs with each being in separate rounds. Frankie won't KO him because he doesn't have the power so his only shot is to out box Maynard. I think that's possible but he can out box him and still lose because of getting taken down.
