Damn. May have to fade them this week. Bad choice going against my Chargers this past week, but think Jax gets the win maybe.

this is an easy one. even shitty teams tend to cover roughly half their games. it might be different if these teams were good last year and oddsmakers need some time to adjust. both were garbage. if short road favs won as much as people think they should, the books would have gone broke a long time ago.
Yeah. The 6 biggest dogs of the week ALL covered. Sorry i played 2 of the next group that didn’t. If any of these 6 lost, I’d be called an idiot for playing them tho

That's a telling stat of the lack of qb play, and defenses catching up I guess? Bryce has been relegated to the clipboard , that may add a couple of td passes in Carolina with Dalton. I must be getting older, I listened to news conference and they asked Bryce about all the boos, and he is one beaten young man. I don't recall ever feeling sorry for a high payed qb like I did all last year and this year. He looks and plays so meek. Reminds of the timid little chipmunk I feed every morning.

For what it's worth.
We have coddled Qbs coming from systems where they never had to read defenses with taylor made plays called for them .
70% of the schedules were lesser opponents and their athletic gifts gave themextra time to cover up their mental weakness.
Now NFL Head Coaches and O.C. dumb down the playbook and we get ...Putrid play.

exactly this. and i'll add that guys like Young are throwing to the absolute best WRs in the country against d-backs who... usually aren't. then they get to the nfl, where everyone is elite...

it wasn't long ago that you could see the progression of college qbs through their 4 or 5 years as they learned to read defenses and how to handle pressure. now? seems like they all peak freshman or sophomore year.

as an added bonus... throw in the insane NIL money... and what incentive do they even have to work on their game?

the nfl keeps making the rules tougher and tougher on defenses... and yet scoring isn't going up. hmmmmm....

old man rant over. for now.

With all that NIL money flying around, why would they work harder when they’re already set? It’s frustrating when they hit the NFL and realize everyone is elite, but they haven’t developed like they should have. The rules are getting stricter on defenses, yet scoring feels stagnant. It’s all a bit of a mess. On a different note, if anyone’s looking for a distraction, I found la-press.org/new-zealand, which has some solid options for online gaming. At least that’s something to pass the time while we wait for better play.
