Non smoker charged for smoking in a room at Paris
Good friend has been at Paris for the last 2 nights.He requested a non smoking room and was granted one.
This guy has never smoked ANYTHING and is a diehard antismoking person.
He went down for coffee at 8am and went back to his room to find his key not working.
Went to the front desk and was informed that they are charging him $560 for smoking in the room.
Supposedly their sensors detected it at 6:30 am.
He vehemently objected insisting he never smoked in the room or anywhere .He asked to speak to the manager and was told nothing could be done.
The $560 charge sticks.
He is contacting his credit card company but this is crazy.
Anyone ever hear of anything like this?
