And they should protect the corporations.....who the fuck built this nation?

American workers.

Fuck corporations when they start paying their fair share of taxes I will give a shit, until then they have used and abused people for a long time in this country.

OK, I guess working at Costco for all those years spoiled me, maybe? Without these companies (Small & Large) creating the job opportunities the "American worker" wouldn't't have a pot to piss in. They certainly would not have the benefits paid by the companies and we would not be the land of the free. But, what do I know? I only worked for large corporations for 40 yrs...the benefits line on our P&L was half the percentage as our payroll percent. If its taken out of the P&L......Guess who's paying it?
And for the record.......Costco used the Corp tax reduction to "Lower Prices" and pass the savings on to our members. How cool is that?

I too worked for corporate america for 25 years . Best company I ever worked for..It was called Pepsi Cola? May have heard of it,,,Health insurance for me was 100.00 a month along with a 401 k they matched dollar for dollar up to 6 percent plus a retirement plan totally opposite from 401k that the Corporate company funded.....Insurance without them was 1200.00 for a family,,,So I agree with betone...maybe others stories are different.

Mixed feelings about this. Corporations already got a massive tax reduction. Didn't the rate drop 14-15 points? However, just can't let many of them to fail. I didn't have a problem with Obama's administration bailing out GM so I am not going to be a total hypocrite. The bill does have to do more for people/families though.

There's really not that much to talk about with no sports. It won't take much to clean it up when the time comes. That time can't come soon enough. Today was supposed to be a really good sports day with NCAA tournament going on. Damn.

Things are fucked up everywhere, not just this little forum.

Well we could talk about movies. Rented Midway yesterday. Pretty good but not on the same level as Dunkirk.

As of tomorrow, Wisconsin is shutting down.

Iowa went to non essential business closed last week. Grocery stores and gas stations allowed to remain open.
Is this what Wisconsin has planned, or even stronger measures?
Kids were hoping we?d be able to make a trip up to grandmas house in Sheboygan next weekend but we had already told them it most likely wasn?t going to happen.

As the weather warms I wonder if the golf courses will open.
I saw how a few courses opened with closed clubhouses, no rakes in the bunkers and cups above ground so you don?t have to pull a pin. You paid at the starters shack.
You could rent a cart that they were disinfecting between every round. Unless there was a huge backup at a par 3, your foursome wouldn?t come in close contact to anyone.
I will play and just walk if they open the courses here in Iowa in a few weeks

Steve: The Democrats proposed a stimulus package a couple days ago and the Republicans shot it down. The Republicans propose a stimulus package and the Democrats shot it down. It's a negotiation. The Democrats are trying to protect the workers, the Republicans are trying to protect the corporations.

I played golf just now. Course is closing tomorrow. Sounds like only gas stations and clinics, cable company etc, will be open.

Pelosi came off vacation to put this one in. She may be Satan in an ugly womans costume? Please ask her what does this have to with the virus and I cant wait to see the defenders response on this one.
