Why does the liberal press keep referring to them as "immigrants"?

They are ILLEGAL ALIENS INVADING OUR LAND!!!!

The leftist media, the democratic party, and the turncoat Republicans in Congress and in the White House are SELLING THE COUNTRY OUT!!!!

Why are we not rounding these people up on the streets and DEPORTING THEM????

They are mocking our laws right in our face!!!

And we have policemen sitting on the freeway trying to catch people going 5 miles over the speed limit???

What kind of justice system is this???

Where is the outrage????

To change the media all Bush would need to do is say there criminals. The puppet press would follow.

It started in 94-95 around the time when prop 187 was being drafted and voted on in CA. la raza and lulac and the ACLU started hounding the news agencies that the term "illegal alien" was slanderous and detrimental to their plight and threatened litigation. So in the touchy feely politically correct society we live in slowly but surely the term was changed to illegal immigrant and now it's just immigrant and has become the status quo similar to how a sword swallower is now just "gay"...this is where tolerance gets us.

This is insane how many people are marching today in dozens of cities. They smartened up this time, though. Not one Mexican flag to be seen in the sea of people at any of these rallies. Tons of American flags.

The leftists NEED a new class of people who they can FEED so that they can REGAIN and KEEP their power

How many more millions of people can we afford to give welfare, free health care, social security, etc. etc.???

How many more millions of votes can the leftists buy if they can somehow find a way to gradually work these people into the voting booths???

Unbelievable that we are sitting by idly while our Constitution and the Sovereignty of our Nation is being MOCKED in our streets

Where is the military to round these invaders up???

George Bush, you are a traitor to let this go on in our streets!!!

what annoys me the most about this is that these people broke that law entering this country & yet they have that balls to protest against something...

i also have seen people marching with the mexican flag.......unbelievable !!

These people are trashing our cities and turning Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, LA, Miami into Tijuana

Next the left will expect us to support them with an abundance of welfare programs which we cannot afford

Is there not ONE PERSON IN CONGRESS who will stand up for THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA??????

I've seen a few since my last post, but very few compared to american flags. No real point to it, other than to notice their change in 'strategy' from last week.

Unilaterally deporting 11 million illegals is not the solution. I think people tend to underestimate how important they are to our economy. Argue all you want, but it's true.

I think the best would be to immediately begin building a 700 mile wall. Then figure out the best way to naturalize those who are here. Have conditions like having to pay back taxes..etc.

I believe with the wall, the floodgates would close and we can work out a sane immigration policy. If the wall offends Mexico, who gives a f*ck.

Their government encourages and instructs their citizens on how to get in here. WTF? Then the massive flow of dollars being sent back to Mexico.

There is no easy solution, but I think a wall would be a huge first step.

The waving of the Mexican flags is amusing. I just kinda scratch my head and ask myself, "You know, if they think Mexico is so great and want to disparage the US, then why don't they, you know, LEAVE the US and live in Mexico??" And that's coming from one of the most left-leaning guys in this forum.

I feel the same as most of you on this issue. The only part I waver on are the kids who were four or five years old when they came here illegally with their parents, and are now 17 or 18 and have essentially grown up American in America and attended US high schools, etc. They had no say in coming here or not. I have mixed feelings about those cases.

this whole thing is comical...let me get this straight:

people who came here ILLEGALLY are protesting that the us govt might actually enforce the laws and ship them back to their country or arrest them????

those same people are offended that they are called ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS (which means the opposite of LEGAL immigrants)?

those same people also have no intereste in embracing the US culture and laws and demand that we provide them with as much as we can in their native language (spanish)?

those same people who claim to want to be citizens have no interest in learning our language, adapting to out culture or obeying the law (get car insurance amigo) which isnt surprising since their entrance was predicated ON BREAKING THE LAW.

these same people claim that they need to be legal citizens because they are here for work? memo to you amigo.....looknig for work does not make you elgilbe to be a legal citizen, at best it should get you a workers visa

As one guy pointed out on the radio.....ask yourself this.....is the US better off becoming MORE like Mexico (letting these people in ad nauseum) or LESS like Mexico?

If you know anything about Mexico, we are better off becoming LESS like Mexico.

However, in the world of liberal politics....these 11 million people are votes who they can indoctrinate into the welfare system and own these votes for generations......thus.....let them in and demonize those who are trying to keep them out.

Enforce the laws that are on the books.....if you're illegal you get deported.....start cutting off their welfare checks, their free medical demand sand their ability to work legally and watch how quickly those people head back to Mexico.

I haven't seen them 'trashing' anything. And where do you think these people have lived for however many years? Do you think they descended on America yesterday from Mexico City?

I guess when they're tucked away in their one room shanties for four on the citrus grove, that's one thing. But letting them be out in the open? Hysteria!

Businesses need them and politicians need the hispanic vote. That's why they aren't being deported. If we were so inclined, we could have deported 80% of these people anytime we wanted. Just because they are out in the open doesn't change that. Or shouldn't.

On a side note, does anyone know if there has been much violence or anything else along those lines involved with these protests? I'm hoping everything is at least peaceful so far.

Was with you on most of the rest, but of course we have to throw in 'liberal politics.' Democrats are the only ones trying to appease the hispanics. I think I got it.

All of the rallies have been peaceful. Hopefully it stays that way.

If you need a good laugh check this out: http://www.ice.gov/graphics/dro/endgame.pdf

It's from ICE/DRO and their "strategic" plan and their mission statment is below:

DRO MISSION
?Promote the public safety and
national security by ensuring the
departure from the United States of
all removable aliens through the
fair and effective enforcement of
the nation?s immigration laws.?

I am not making this sh*t up :142smilie

exactly

the left will pander to these people for their votes with program after program paid for on OUR BACKS

the dollar is going down the sewer as a sewer of a country moves north into ours

and the turncoats in the Republican party will pander as well

Its really amazing that the Republicans control both houses and the white house and NOW is when amnesty is getting pushed through

i think its time to throw these bums out and maybe we can get some real conservatives in there

the only thing worse than a liberal is a turncoat conservative
