You can play an entire season on clay if you want to. You can play 41 straight weeks on clay if you really wanted.

Not so on indoor carpet or grass.

One of the best matches I've seen in three years was Wozniacki at some gloomy indoor court in Denmark. No wind. No surface slipping bullshit. It was as pure as it gets: what can these two players do with a tennis ball, unimpeded or aided by elements. In my opinion, that's a truer test of skill than this shit we had last week at Eastborne where the wind is blowing the ball all over the place. Wind tennis is not real tennis, in my opinion. But that's all it is, an opinion.

I like clay better than grass because it allows some rallying, and something other than just power to come into play. But I don't want to see all tournaments on clay.

Gulbis -125 (Verdasco): 10.00/8.00
Paire -335 (Kubot): 3.35/1.00
Mannarino +135 (Brown): 2.00/2.70
Almagro +115 (Janowicz): 2.00/2.30
Melzer +115 (Stakhovsky): 2.00/2.30
Monaco -265 (De Schepper): 2.65/1.00
Navarro -105 (Bouchard): 2.10/2.00
Flipkens -210 (Dolonc): 4.20/2.00

8-parlay

Haas -1830 (Wang)
Ferrer -805 (Agut)
Paire -350 (Kubot)
Mannarino +130 (Brown)
Almagro +110 (Janowicz)
Melzer +110 (Stakhovsky)
Gulbis -130 (Verdasco)
Monaco -275 (De Schepper)

.50/18.15

4-parlay

Robson -830 (Duque)
U. Radwanska -130 (Riske)
Kerber -320 (Kanepi)
Flipkens -220 (Dolonc)

2.44/6.79

Ideas: profit on gulbis over verdasco and then monaco, next two rounds, then hedge out my future when he plays murray. looking for some reversion to form from dreddytennis and stakhovsky. Jerry Janowicz, do not want. monaco and paire are just better than opponent, price is at least reasonable. navarro is a fighter, i think she ultimately will overcome the impressive bouchard. flipkens, i like the cut of her gib. kerber, i'm not sure about that, just going off line. both have power, both can be spotty; i'm trusting the line. Urad, just think she'll overcome riske, who is playing well. it may well turn out in retrospect that the best strategy was KISS, and just plunk a chunk on ernests. he shook the rust out of his system against tsonga, and should be able to overcome verdasco, given five sets. but i like a lot of these 50-50s today. i like betting against guys who are satisfied with an achievement, they don't feel so bad about losing, dont try so hard (stakhovsky, brown).

You aren't quite grasping what depth means.

Depth is the entire tour.

Find me one person in any Tennis Federation, Find me one coach, find me one player, find me one agent, find me one person at the ITF, find me one person that agrees with you. In fact I told a guy that coached at ATP Tour and a former player what you said and they could not stop laughing. I would pay you snoopol money if I could see you walk into any press conference and say women's depth is the same as the men. The laughter would never stop. You really have no idea what the hell you are talking about. You really don't.

In fact find me one girl in the Top 1000 that thinks the women are anywhere close in depth. Find me one.

You are so far off. You really are. Again find me one.

Yes one person that thinks the depths in the women's game is anywhere close to the men.

You'd get laughed at if you spoke any of this out loud.

You have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

The depth in the women's game is fucking awful and is not on the same planet as the men.

The women's tour is a complete joke when it comes to depth.

For fucks sake even the CEO of the WTA Tour thinks your are on crack. Even she said the depth of both tours isn't even close. The fucking CEO of the WTA Tour thinks your nuts.

kick u sound like u know every single person in the world of tennis.

even if u r right your arguments and statements are so fucking stupid that i think i will stop reading it.

best post in that thread. but kick may disagree and say snow is better than rain

Which form of precipitation is best. I am going to state my case for hail. I WILL BROOK NO DISAGREEMENT.

/no im not

well at least there will be play on one court. looking ahead, this figures to be the one bad day out of the next few, so that's not too bad

should have known that dimitrov is so understandably pussy whipped by pova that he'd lose the match to be with her

thats the problem with making plays on dudes that date wta chicks, its a tricky element to handicap

kerber just kicking ass. when she's on, she can mess with anybody. gets down three games, zooms back with six straight to take first set. ferrer looking like terrier as usual, altho agut is good. always feel good when you have money on ferrer.

kerber's left-handed shot up the line is the coolest shot in tennis.

haas is throttling wang.

sick of hearing about kimiko krumm being 42.

Pretty sure monfils let the ball drop between legs do a 360 smash is the coolest...also the most pointless

Come on ho ball....get of the court so gulbis can give the fans what they came for
