Current weight: 215 lbs
Current mile: 11:00 minutes
Current 5k: 35:00 minutes
Current bench: 185 lbs
Current curls: 40 lbs

Goal weight: 195 lbs
Goal mile: 7:30 minutes
Goal 5K: 27:00 minutes

Day 1: weight 215

Ran 35:20 minutes for a total of 3.2 miles/5k. Damn near had a heart attack. On my weigh in I was pleasantly surprised it was 215 fully dressed soaking wet which means I've only gained back ten pounds since late May. I feel like it was twenty but I guess I'm not a spring chicken anymore.

Pictures from the golf outing has my wife pulling out the pictures of old... so we're pushing each other to get back to the shape we were in when we meet in 05. I've got a lot farther to go than she does... I think that's a plus for me though...

:)

Hey Woody,

Is that your first workout of trying to stick to a program?

If it is I will do this as well and post my weight and workouts.

Kind of like an accountability thing..........

Six Five may do the same........

Good luck Woody on reaching your goals!

I have a side lawn service and have been mowing like crazy. I've lost 15 lbs so far. Hoping to lose 18-20 more. Shouldn't be a problem in this heat.

Great meeting you this past weekend. Now, focus on the task at hand!

Nick,

No way you come in at 227! :scared Take those rolls of quarters out of your pockets! If so, you hide it well my man! :D

Looking forward to us hitting our goals. Jack, Morris, and I did it first half of the year and it was very helpful.

Nole in Vol Land,
Enjoyed it immensely and can't wait for us to get out there again. Awesome time and you have some great friends. Good luck with the lawn service and check in from time to time to let me know how it's going. See you in foots soon enough! :mj06:

Take care.

I've put on some extra weight lately so I'm game as well... only problem is I can't run due to a serious ankle problem:

For cardio, I have to use a stationary bike or swim... can't do anything else with my ankle that needs to be fused sooner than later.

Current Weight 217
Current Bench 335

Chest 48
Waist 38

Need to be a 50 chest, 35 or 36 waist, and goal of 200 pounds with a 385 bench... won't be easy!

good luck, boys!

I've been doing cardio since April, and I actually went for a follow-up to the cardiologist today. I was 13 months late, but I got a clean bill of health. No sign of any more problems. Earlier this year, I was up over 230 and way out of shape, got down to 212, started lifting and got back up to where I am now at 223 fully clothed.

I can't run secondary to being very injury prone and it's too hard on me, but I race walk which I know I'll be made fun of unmercifully here (softball thrown out there, lol), but I can take it. I'm actually quite competitive at it too.

Current weight: 223 lbs (fully clothed)
Current mile: 10:30 minutes (walking)
Current 5k: 35:30 minutes (walking)
Current bench: 175 lbs (max, and I doubt I'm going to max very much because again, I always get hurt. Usually I just do high rep sets with 95 and 135)
Current curls: 65 lbs (15 reps)

Goal weight: 215 lbs
Goal mile: sub 10 (walking)
Goal 5K: sub 32:00 minutes

I'm going to add resting pulse rate and b/p.

Resting pulse: 58
b/p: 126/68

Joker, anytime u want a cardio workout, come walk/run with me. I'll put u through it, guaranteed.

Good luck with your Goals, Woodson!

I've been running for 5 years now. It's a good way to first lose weight, and then maintain a weight that you are comfortable with while getting to eat whatever you want because you just run it off!

Woody great idea on starting this. Fellas good luck on meeting your goals. Still think Woody looks like a string bean in the golf pics.

Nole, my beloved Jackets are traveling to Tallahassee this year to take on your Injuns. I still shed a tear thinking back to last years victory over you guys. First time since Burt Reynolds was there I believe. Anyways unbelieveable game to be at.

I am doing my first triatholon in October so I will definitely be on board. Its a beginner ( 5K run, 12 mile bike, 1/4 mile swim) but I will still need oxygen when done , if not an ambulance.

Current weight- 180
Current mile- 8 1/2 minutes
Current bench- usually just use dumbbells - 75 lbs.
Curls- 35 lb. DB

Goal weight- 170
Goal mile- 8 minutes
5K goal- 24-25 minutes

Take some water or money for a gatorade! It's hot out there today!

Yo! Lawrence, px90 is pretty damn tough... If I keep at this till fall, then maybe I'll be able to do that... not ready just yet...

Just did 5mi. jogging/walking - didn't time it but I am sure it was an hour and a half or even more. I stopped a lot because I brought my dog with me.
Going to swim tomorrow or Monday.

Great start. I could not do five miles continuosly right now. I'll stick to 3.2 for the next week and then boost it up.

I'm beat today... just wait until tomorrow when you get up to walk the dog... :142smilie
