Hey guys, a quick question for you...my buddy has a good chunk in his account (5-6K) that he would like to invest in a "safe" bet for WC...which of the following do you think is the best bet:

Will Ecuador reach QTR? NO at -1500
Will Toga reach round of 16? NO at -495
Will Saudi Arabia reach round of 16? NO at -921
Will Trinidad & Tobago reach round of 16? NO at -1679

Personally, I would go with Saudi Arabia...just don't see them getting more than a lucky point in 3 games...any others that I am missing?

no doubt its trinadad & tobago,im risking 800 to win 50 myself would put more on it if i didnt have so many pending wagers...saudi is a ok bet also,they always seem to be terrible in the cup but ive seen crazier things than them coming out of that group...t&t's group is very strong 3 solid teams .the saudi group had 2 solid teams ,if 1 shits the bed ,you never know.if i had to risk that much on 1 of them it would be t&t.

stacked team for trinadad..that stacked team finished 4th in cocacaf,thats pretty bad..the only reason their in the tournament is b/c fifa let them play a playin game vs bharain.ill go against a 4th place concacaf team anyday in the WC.their +$40000 for a reason.put a 100 on that.

Moe, Are you concerned about the injuries that are piling up for the Czechs? I liked your Czech pick when you 1st posted it, but if the reports are to be believed, I might be going the other way on this one.

With Smicer already out, Baros is now doubtful for the US game and Nedved injuried his knee today. If Nedved can't go, seems like the US +.5 might look pretty good.

flapjack, according to his coach, Nedved will definetely play vs. USA...personally, i would leave that match alone, any result wouldn't surprise me...i'd take poland over ecaudor at the same price...just imo...

flap,yes im getting concerned.the last few day all reports about the czeks have been all negative.im not worried about barros,they have enough firepower.im not to worried about the usa game either ,this young usa team will still have a tall task in this game.I AM worried about my future plays on the czecks b/c now i dont think they will hold up for a month..i dont know how u can take the usa though in this game ,this czeck team has some very,very skilled players and i think it will be to much for the usa...i am liking the usa more and more overall though,im standing my ground in the czeck game b/c i can see the usa losing against the czecks and then beat the italins at a very nice price(at least thats what im hoping for)....FROM what ive heard the usa is going to come out and pressure ,and run hard.bruce arena had them train hard and for weeks on stamina,witch just may work on a czeck team with injuries.but ive got to go with my gut and adamnt feelings i had when 1st capping this game.it may just be the butterflies now thats making me think twice.but a knew that would happen thats why i bet the game when i did.i really want the usa to advance.its good for soccer here..btw if youve seen the interviews with the usa players especially kellers comments he doesnt look or sound to excited about playing the czecks.....nedved must play this game if he doesnt i will have buy back a little.we will have to wait until gameday for this though.

not high on the germans this world cup ,but homefield in soccer is huge ,especialy when playing a team from another continent/the germans will resort to their old ways of roughing people up and will get the calls or should i say no calls from the refs.yellow card infractoins will be verbal warnings and red card infractions will be yellow cards,you may not see it in this game but if it gets to close for comfort you will see it..ecuador qualified for this tourny b/c theyre very hard to beat at home ,they won their home games and a couple of road points and their in,they wont be as good here,,but polands shotty play of late has me thinking no play but a draw maybe in order.

like poland also but as you can see anything is possible in soccer sometimes.this draw in the next game is a minimum bet of $50 for me so its basically a hunch and for fun.
