Parsons Doubles Through Vos

It was a tough spot for Mark Vos. Lisa Parsons opened the pot with a raise to 70,000. Vos looked down at {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs} and reraised. Parsons quickly moved all in for a total of about 550,000. At that point, Vos was practically priced in to make the call, which he did.

Parsons opened up {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}. Her pocket rockets held when the board came {7-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {3-Spades}. She doubles up to 1.2 million and Vos drops to 1.75 million.

if she could get to 63 rd and pick up at least 100K that would be sweet. But shes got to feel with a little luck she can go very far now.

And I Just Gave You Candy

Lisa Parsons had taken a couple of small pots with preflop raises, chipping up a bit before the following hand took place. As the dealer dealt the hand, Dennis Phillips asked his tablemates if they'd like any of his Altoids. Several did, and he passed the tin around the table.

Being under the gun, Phillips was first to act. No more friendly stuff. Phillips was raising to 70,000.

It folded to Parsons who called from middle position. Everyone else got out of the way, and the flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Phillips checked, Parsons bet 100,000, and Phillips called.

The turn was the {J-Clubs}. Phillips again checked, and this time Parsons fired out 200,000. Phillips went into the tank. After a couple of minutes, he asked Parsons what she had left behind. "Just a ballpark," he said. "About four," she replied, indicating approximately 400,000.

Phillips considered a while longer, then let it go. Parsons now has about 1 million, while Phillips has 1.44 million.

Lisa Parsons Takes a Hit

Action folded to Dennis Phillips on the button and he raised to 70,000. Lisa Parson called from the big blind and they went heads up to the flop.

The flop came {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} and Parsons check-called a bet of 125,000 from Phillips. When the {6-Spades} hit the turn, both players checked.

The river fell the {7-Hearts} and Parsons led out for 150,000. Phillips called the bet and showed {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. Parsons mucked and was left with just 630,000 chips. Phillips cracked the 2,000,000 mark on the hand.
