I put up a thread on this tournament last year. Will try to do the same this year. I will attend at least a few days and serve as on-court correspondent.

Not that it matters, but my plays did (somehow) clear a profit last year.

Keys is #1 seed.

Charleston fan-favorite Andrea Petkovic is in the field. I was afraid that I banged her out too hard, but she decided to not withdraw.

One matchup that catches my eye:

9-seed Gavrilova vs Errani. Errani has made deep runs at this tournament. I got the sense that she liked this surface. Errani can run all day (last time I saw her, at least).

Both girls are complete head-cases but Errani is less of a head-case. As for the surface I absolutely hated Har-Tru, it is the dumbest surface you could ever play tennis on, I'd rather play on broken glass, stupid horrible dumb fucking surface.

You'll notice there are NO ATP Challengers or Main Tour events ever played on Har-Tru, reason is simple, men refuse to play on that shit fucking surface. Women's tennis is so bad they'll play on the Har-Tru. I say again.......dumbest most moronic (and dangerous) surface you could ever play on.

Yep, I'd be fine with broken glass then stupid Har-Tru.

Dumb surface..........

Oh and by the way if I ever lost to Errani I'd blow my head off.

Are you attending the event every single day?

Have fun (well as much fun as you can watching a WTA event)......

kick, not every day. Will see how my schedule plays out.

Would go out of my way to watch Petko! :)

Good insights on the surface. What do I know?

As far as handicapping...I really don't care about it being a "stupid" surface. If there's any way we take advantage of STYLEs, let's do it.

So, 2 of the observations I can give:

1) Petkovic is very well-liked in Charleston. She has won in the past. She speaks very good English, gives great interviews. Compliments the city, and the fans root for her. Any situation where u think she's getting FAIR odds, give her a look. She'll get fan-support, as if it's her hometown tournament.

2) I mentioned Errani playing well here in past. She seemingly liked the surface. Moved well, good results despite having almost zero power.

One other player-note:

* True hometown support for Shelby Rogers. She was born just outside Charleston SC.

Look at you getting all smart and shit, well done by you.

Oh and fwiw my opinion surface means very little when it comes to the WTA Tour and gambling, does it mean something, yes, yes it does, but very little. It isn't like men's tennis, in men's tennis the surface means everything, not so with the women.

But speaking of surface....Errani at +130 odds is worth a shot.

Errani was as high as 5 in the world in 2013, my fucking hell is the WTA awful:facepalm:

OK, I'll start listing some plays (2 for Monday). Warning: don't take me too seriously. I don't know Tennis. Just doing the best I can:

ERRANI +130 (vs Gavrilova). 100 to win 130

PETKOVIC +115 (vs Arruabarrena). 100 to win 115

Good luck!
