Wed: +50, on 200 risked
ytd: +120, on 350 risked.

Sorribes-Tormo wins. Cepelova just misses cashing +1.5 sets. Was up 5-2 in 2nd set, was broken 2x and lost in tie-breaker. In coming weeks, think u could do much worse than these 2 as dog plays.

Sorribes-Tormo beat local girl Rogers. Was a warm day, Rogers is a bigger girl. The heat slowed her down in 2nd set. Sorribes-Tormo is Spanish, very fit. Not to be a dick, Rogers could stand to lose 12 lbs. Sorribes-Tormo was pretty psyched, furthest she's ever been in WTA event.

Cepelova had too many mis-hits in 1st set. Errani is more accomplished in Doubles. Short girl, very much a mighty-mite. Cepelova matched Errani in ball-striking in 2nd set. Couldn't finish off the set. Strangely, Cepelova called for trainer after going up 3-2 in 2nd set. They checked her pulse, she continued and won next two games.

I don't know how Cepelova's ranking declined so badly. She's won like one match in 2015 thus far. Physically, there's not much btw her and Errani (who's near the top 10). Look for some fat dog prices on Cepelova in coming weeks.

I have a few pictures. If I can figure out how to download them, I will.

Sorry, I'm technologically-challenged.

As for looks, I admit to being in love w/ Petkovic. She's tall and athletic. If she ever talked to me, I might melt.

Errani is a freight-train, in a small package. I looked it up, her career winnings are > $10 Mill!

I get the impression that Cepelova is very quiet. I hope she turns the corner on her career. Talent is there.

Have you seen Gennie who used to be known as a tennis player?

Heard that she defected.

Talk about a shocker. I didn't see that coming. I had to leave just b4 that match. But I also thought it would be an ez walkover.

Play for Thurs 4/9:

* Brengle +270 (vs Petkovic). 100 to win 270.

...Had to look this up. Brengle actually knocked Petkovic out of the Australian Open earlier this year. Now, things have changed, but how much?

Petkovic has been pretty sharp of late, except for 1st set vs Scheepers. Brengle made finals of ITF event last week. Value play for me on Brengle.

Barthel retires vs Davis, when she's down a set and 3-0 in 2nd. Tough break for Davis-backers.

Only reason I mention this...it was particularly warm on Wed. Conditioning is a factor. I thought Rogers was going to retire at 0-2 in 2nd set, she stopped moving well.

Thur: -140, on 339 risked
ytd: -20, on 689 risked.

I can see how Tennis betting can be frustrating. You prefer the Moneyline? The Set handicap? Game handicap?

+/- Game handicap seems like the biggest crapshoot. At least players are focusing on winning sets.

Feel like I mangled the Thurs card. Brengle would have covered +4.5 games. Sorr-Tormo fought back to win 2nd set, but missed +5.5 games by half-game.

Noticed that Sorr-Tormo got broken constantly. Errani did not have an Ace vs Cepelova (I think). Believe that Errani prefers to receive (rather than serve).

I am not even going to comment on that except for this:mj02:

KServ, I understand your negativity toward the WTA. As for quality of the game, No, it's not as good as the men's. Is Women's hoops > Men's hoops? No, it's not.

Just me, I'd rather look at Petkovic for 2 hours instead of Fognini. As for betting, a bet's a bet. Doesn't matter what sport it is, really.

Are you gonna stick around till the end of the tournament??

To answer your question different bookies have different rules regarding the retirements. For some all that needs to happen is one ball in play, others 1st set must be completed or there are firms where whole match has to be completed.

When it comes to betting on handicaps there was a time when I was betting semi middles. Let's say you don't really have a strong opinion on the match but want to place a wager anyways. You can bet Errani -5.5 at one place and then buy half of the game at another place and back Spanish chick +6. There's a good chance of winning one and pushing the other. It does not work that well on ATP since half of the game is much more expensive.
