Not always.....remember public does win about 50% of the time. Books would just be happy with breaking even. That's why they charge juice for wagering because it all adds up when millions of bets are placed. TB Bucs were almost 80% consensus vs Panthers a few weeks ago and they got the $$$$$. Some will win....some will lose. If us bettors took 70%+ plays all the time we will lose....but the books win. That's why you gotta pick your spots. That Colts/Titans ending though was just what they wanted.....kept everyone on their toes till the final seconds. It's entertainment baby!!!!

The books would be happy breaking even but I would have to say that prbly never happens.......I know people don't want to hear fix, but I do think some (SOME) games are very fishy more in college football.....I really can't stand college football it is to wishy washy and the players are easy to get to.....you guys remember the FSU QBthat was accused off fixiing a game about 5 years ago maybe longer

See, this is perfect.

If the games are "fixed", you should never have to pick your spots!

How can guys come in, week after week when the games are over, with lines like:

"The fix was in on that one!"
"That played out just like Vegas wanted!"
"You could see that one coming a mile away!"
"If 80% where on ______, you knew the other guys were gonna cover!"

BUT, when the other team does manage to still hang on and win, it's just a fluke, or Vegas let the public have one today?

Come on, guys.

As far as the entertainment aspect? We have seen so many Thursday, Sunday, and Monday night games that have been so boring they put us to sleep. (Or is that to keep us thinking it's not rigged, too?)

It has to be if it's all fixed.

Jack just pointed out that close to 80% are on New England tomorrow -3

The "fixators" should easily see this means Chicago will fight and claw to a cover.

That might just happen but the bears will need help from refs and n.eng in my opinion. It's all about the show and stay tuned till the last minute so you can view the ads. When you go to the games you realize how much the players have to stand around and wait for tv time. That's why they put in the reviews, another two commercials,
if they need them. Just blows momentum sometimes. This alone leads to alot of questionable endings although good tv and when you've got money on the line you don't want to see all this dickin around in the last few series.

Impressionable youths that are broke and most likely have no chance of making it to the NFL.. I can see that.. But pro players I say no way. These athletes already make millions and millions of dollars. I mean think about how much it would take to bribe a pro player to make it worth his while. Its not worth the risk. They have waaaay too much to lose. Why take a chance? The NFL only has 32 teams and they are under such a microscope I don?t see how it would be possible. College you have 100s of teams and you cant watch em all.
As far as the other night. I really don?t see the fix. It was a home dog scoring a back door cover. Happens all the time. Back door meaningless touchdowns are how I have made my money in NFL. Backdoors are part of the game. The team in the lead slacks off and runs clock. And the losing team keeps trying to score till the closing bell.. What is so odd about that? The colts had lost three straight and were in danger of missing the playoffs.. You really think these multi million dollar athletes gave a shit about the points spread???? You were looking at a beat up defense with tons of holes that had the game won.. Touchdown or no touchdown the battle was over so they slacked a bit and Titans scored. No harm to them. Happens every week.
Conspiracy theories are fun but unrealistic

Dude have you ever played a football game??? Do you have any idea how hard it would be to manipulate a game to come down to the wire so people are forced to watch commercials??? There are sooo many variables it would be near impossible. You would have to have almost every starting player on both teams on the payroll to even attempt something like that.. You would have whistleblowers all over the place. You cant keep that many people silent for long.

And if that is your theory how do you explain the NE/ Jets game last week? May have been the most anticipated game of they year and it was over at half time.. Probably lost half their viewers by 3rd qtr.. but thems the breaks

Guess you have to settle for all the dubious calls, constant delays, pet teams, late flags etc etc etc. And are you kidding me the review system is just a convenient way for the booth to review anything they want towards the end of a game just to sneak in some ads to satisfy the sponsers. I,ve been on the winning sides of some phoney looking stuff too and just don't buy that everything is more about the competition and not the money.

One thing I will say about instant reply.

I'm not sure which network it is, but one of them has some ex-head of officails, or some crap, back in the studio who they go to when there is a review. Now, THIS guy will break down the play in question, and tell you the "call" in about 11 seconds EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Amazing. He can do that in a studio in New York, but on the field it takes four minutes every single time, and they STILL get it wrong half of the time?????

By the way, we are stuck watching these dopes, and not commercials, more often than not.
