Adding a small play:

Chile (vs Switz) 2nd Half ML -129 $12.9 to win $10

It's 10 on 11. Not sure why this line is so small. Thar has me worried, otherwise I'd put more on it.

cause like Ghana (they played 10 vs. 11) and couldn't get the win....10 players team tend to close their lines and defend all game....if your good at it, you can hold on...well in some of the cases....gl today D.!

SO NINO WOULD YOU SAY UNDER......

i WOULD like a tie...got Swiss +0.5 :mj07: Suazo was the striker for Monterrey a couple of seasons, made us National Champions...he?s a powerful and explosive guy in any minute...line CHILE ML -129 seems low to me....mmm i would rather pass any further action...

and i concur (smartest decision) with Deezy: SMALL play if you?re taking second half....

Thanks Nino. Got away with one there for a small win. That's good info for the future regarding 10 on 11 situations. I was able to profit in the same way taking Greece against Nigeria last week. I'll probably take my 2 wins and pass the next time. Thanks for you insight.
Got a nice run goin' in this second go around of group play, but I'm really banking on Spain coming through for me in the first half with this next match. No iniesta will hurt but if Spain is going to win their group and avoid brazil in the 1st round they are going to need goals, and fast. Plus I'll need them to hit my exacta of Spain & Chile finishing 1-2 in the group. The narrow win by Chile this morning was huge! :00hour

Gonna post and updated record and my plays for the upcoming week tonight. GLTA :toast:

Nino, I think Spain will have to beat Chile in order to win the group as well as have a better GD. Same goes for Switz assuming the Swiss beat Honduras. Assuming they win today Spain will have just 3 points, toeing them with Switz and 3 behind the Chileans.

A little explanation of the above:

Group A I haven't had a great read on. I bet on France to win the cup for f***s sake :mj07:
But as far as the Mexico-Uruguay game, I like this spot. I'm going for a $50 win on the exact score at 0-0. I feel like this game will be mostly just a lot of posturing, passing behind midfield, with few actual opportunities for a score. If one team is lucky enough to put one in, they'll be content to sit back and play tight to preserve their group victory. I've covered my ass with the other 2 exact scores so if one manages a goal, I'll still turn a $5 profit. I would put more on this, doubling up on all 3, but I don't want to expose myself too much in case I am wrong.

As for Group B, well, what can I say? I just couldn't resist putting a little something on my boys. Play that at your own risk. Argentina is hitting their stride, but I've seen my Greeks surprise before :sadwave:
Nigeria is a team that I think is in a good position to step up and make a strong push to be included in the next round. They have better than an outside shot to get through and they know it. All they need is for Argentina to take care of Greece and if they take care of business against those pesky Koreans they'll be in. This team actually has a better shot of advancing than any other African squad, believe it or not, even though they don't have a single point (shows my faith in Ghana). Even I can admit that the Super Eagles got screwed unfairly in their last game and they have their entire continent behind them for this one. I've noticed that these good African teams show up well in their first game of the World Cup and I expect the same kind of energy for what could be their last. Anybody who watched Nigeria's first game saw that they played extremely well against Argentina and had ample opportunity to win the game. They we're in control against Greece before the red card as well. The S Koreans will fold under the pressure and Nigeria will most likely advance (much to my dismay).

That's it for tonight. It's late and the 3rd and final go-around of group play is just a few hours away. I've taken my positions for later in the week and will provide some thoughts on those games as they come up.
Obviously, I'm no pro at betting soccer, hence the smaller amounts risked, but I do think I have a decent feel for some of these teams and I'm very confident in my big futures bet on the Dutch. Last week was a success. We'll see about this next 4 days. At first glance it looks like I played too many games, but oh well. Only time will tell if I'm right.

I now Rehagall preaches defense but what the hell happened to Salpingidis and Gekas.
How the fuck doesn't he put at least one of these players in.
He was relying on Nigeria to beat South Korea :nono:
Why not put in the guys that can score and at least try to take it to Argentina.
Samaras tried but he's not a consistent goal scorer.
I'm pissed to say the least we need a more aggressive coach who thinks offense as well as defense.
Well another failed world cup but at least we got a win, good luck the rest of the way ellina :0008

agree with you 100% Spartan. I was screaming at the tv when he was subbing Ninis and other young guys when the ailing vets went out. How could he not put in one striker. Would have like to have seen charisteas or Gekas in there and as well as he rebounded from his first disaster or a game vs Korea, Samaras was gassed at the end and we really needed a fresh striker in there. Nigerians had ample opportunity to advance as well so we weren't the only ones to blow it. Losing Karagounis to injury cannot be understated. It really would have helped our offesive strategy in the 2nd half had he been in there. I agree with your assesment of the coach but when you consider all Otto has done for Greek soccer in the last 7-8 years it'll be a tough call to let him go. I do think he'll retire in the next few weeks, if not days, however.

Anyway,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPARTAN! :00hour
Don't let this loss get you down. We played admirably against the Argentinians for 75 minutes or so and hopefully our first world cup win is a good sign for future tournaments.
