1st game
If you've been following my picks throughout the world cup, it's no secret that I love the Dutch. No difference here. This is the game where I feel that Dunga's change in style to a counter attack from a more balanced attack will come back to bite them. Holland plays the kind of soccer that Brazil used to play, balanced and fluid. Don't get me wrong, Brazil has been very successful with their style thus far, but this is where their run ends IMO. This game could be the best one of the whole tournament.
2nd game
Uruguay SHOULD win this game. I stress should. They have more talent and skill and two great strikers in Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez. But Ghana is the darling of the continent, Africa's last hope. When this world cup started there was one thing I thought to myself and it was that I just did not forsee any scenario in which the semifinal stage did not involve at least one African nation. Look at the last 3 world cups and 4 of the last 5. The host country made it to the semifinals every year but 1994, when the World Cup was hosted by the US. I know, I know, Ghana isn't the host you say. But the strength of a continent to unite behind the one remaining African team in this tournament should not be underrated. At this stage, I tend to think of Africa being the host more so than one country with in the continent. Ghana is bigger, faster, more athletic and they will find a way to advance. It may not be pretty, like the way Uruguay advance against Korea, but they will get the job done. Ghana will be physical and the refs will let them play that way giving them a plenty of help in order to keep the African spirit alive in the World Cup. To be honest, my head tells me Uruguay, but my heart says Ghana and no matter how good Uruguay looks on paper in this match up, I have to follow my gut here.

***Edit: bought half my bet back on the Netherlands ($20.80 on Brazil -104). Not that I'm not confident in the play, but I already have enough invested for them win the Cup and enough riding on this one game already.
