Actually no. They were found, but not without a story, (that's only fitting right?)
Since we finished up golfing so late, I guess it was just too hard to see my car keys in the cart when i was cleaning up. Also, RollTide's bloody mary's were just too tempting to pass up, so instead of heading to my car and stowing my clubs and shoes......I was making sure I got a taste of the good life. Where are my priorities after all? IN THE RIGHT EFFING PLACE!
So after spending an hour in the parking lot drinking, BSing, meeting new people, recapping, and getting scolded by the hotel property's security staff, I finally went to my car to get any shoes on other than my golf shoes. One problem......NO CAR KEYS. Left em in the cart.
So i lug my clubs and all upstairs through the hotel and put everything in the room. I then try to locate someone who can help me retrieve my car keys. Ultimately, I found security and they loaded me up in a van with a 90 year old man (which made me feel ultra secure by the way. I'm sure not too many people could have taken this welterweight). We went to the cart barn and after trying about 75 keys, we finally got in. Don't ask me how, but I remembered exactly what cart we were on that day, "77." Found the cart and of course......no keys. So now what?!
Well, I sure as hell wasn't gonna let a silly thing like shoes stop my fun, so I went to the bar "sans" shoes. Give it a try sometime.....wasn't bad :142smilie
Anyway, the next morning, I was hungover as hell. Samantha didn't mind turning on about every light in the room at about 9am, blasting the TV, and offering to go and get me food that wouldn't have stayed down if I wanted it to. She did, however, go to the pro shop, and ask about my keys. Luckily, they were there.....Canadian keychain and all.
We ended up leaving the property around noon......me still being violently hungover. Samantha was a good trooper though. She drove the first 3+ hours while I continued to sleep it off. Next thing I know, we are in West Va already and its time for another meal, which I did not partake in. I did however take the wheel.....and managed to drive us the rest of the 4.5 hours or so. Samantha didn't give me too much grief....but any she gave, I'm sure I deserved
