Without looking all of the cards up in UFC, I know UFC 50 had BIG NAMES on it because I got the dvd right here:

This card matches up very well as far as quality fight after quality fight when you look back at the names.

UFC 52 was also great card name wise.
I still think you are right AFFLICTION CARD IS VERY STRONG.

It seems like these two companies continue to play top this:
Affliction will show its card on closed circuit tv for $20 right across the street from THE PALMS in LV(where UFC Fight Night 14 is).

It is almost comical how back and forth they are going.

I agree that he has fought weak ass opponents of late. He has not really been locked into any affiliation which has hurt since destruction of Pride.
Hopefully he continues to up his level each fight.
Rumors are next fight will be Josh Barnett(if he beats Rizzo) unless he gets Randy. Either way these guys are stepups from what he has done of late.

Fedor is a smart business man just like Mayweather. Kick wants him to try and get killed every fight because kick is an mma fan. I use to say the same shit about Mayweather. There isnt much difference here. Mayweather walks out will millions and good health. Fedor is making Millions fighting with less risks. When Fedor armbars Silvia i wonder what Kick will say? If he actually fought top fighters like GSP, Penn, Liddel, etc. etc. etc. do, then fine. But he has not. And that piece of garbage Fedor gets to fight in a ring, and gets to fight one of the most hated fighters on the planet. On top of that he'll have ever member of Affliction licking his anus and all the judges will be under death threats to award him the victory if it goes to a decision.

I think it has already been established as far as rankings go: It is Kimbo then everyone else.

I think Fedor is #1 HW by default. Which means based on his career then you have to say he has done it,but I do agree fighting in a ring has helped and fighting people the likes of Matt Lindland the past few years have diminished his victories. If his next 3 fights are Sylvia,Barnett,and Randy then you cant really question it(if he wins them all). Let's see where he goes after walking through Sylvia.

I hate comparing guys #1 overall in boxing/mma. Just hard to say. Pound for pound is VERY MUCH OPINION BASED.

fedor was a beast......no doubt...but,many of the old pride stars have had a difficult transition outside of pride....

i keep thinking back to that obscure card awhile back in which matt lindland,a guy from a different weight class,was throwing fedor to the mat.....fedor illegally grabbed the ropes and lindland ended up on his back....

it changed the fight from the git-go...yeah,fedor `prolly would have eventually won..

still,not sure that fedor is gonna engender the fear and awe in a guy like tim silvia...he was god in pride.....maybe not,outside pride...

if i were fedor,i`d be very careful here...i`ve seen him buzzed several times...

i think this is a dangerous fight... silvia is a strange bird...he looks like crap when he`s expected to win and sometimes comes up big when the underdog...
