I cant stand Glazer to be honest... he annoys the heck outta me on FSN doing the Pride reruns and what not...

Trigg is an actual fighter so i respect his insight, but he sux on TAGG radio.. it's almost like he doesnt want to hurt anyones feelings b/c SOOO MANY fighters r his "friends" and he doesnt want to hurt anyones feelings (at least thats the way he comes off IMO)..... oh well -- i dont care too much about announcers as long as the fighters r good.. After all, it cant get much worse than Mike Goldberg, can it?? :shrug:

His manager said his December fight will be against "the winner of the show or a top competitor."

I highly doubt Fedor will fight the winner of that meaningless show in December.... If he beats a guy like Arlovski in October, I guess it could happen, but December is the wrong time to have a huge mismatch on the card (b/c it could be a New Years card). Unless the show is made up of people like Couture & Werdum, nobody would be even slightly interested in watching that fight, especially if it will be a PPV deal.

Maybe kickserv would watch it.. :shrug: Hes clearly been sniffing too much ammonia and that has lead to his wrongful bias against the world's top heavyweight. :SIB

You keep saying no one in the last 4 years. He has not been very active in the 4 years,but he fought Cro Cop in 2005 and Mark Hunt in 12/06. Those two were about the best Pride had to offer at the time.

This ruling of course will allow the fighters to use elbows on the ground.

I agree w/ kegray..... he fought the best PRIDE had to offer and squashed them all.... SQUASHED.

Not like "darn, another decision for Fedor, he really looked sloppy." No..... finished em all in dominating fashion. Hes got quickness, power, recovery, heart, elite submissions, elite submission defense & has never showed weakness against any of his competitors (Ricardo Arona was the only guy to merely challenge Fedor)....

There is no clear #1, but dont get it twisted, Fedor is the favorite... why else would Randy say Fedor is the only guy that makes sense for him to fight.. oh wait... it's b/c he is the most fking talented heavyweight around not including Couture.. He's going to make Sylvia look like a donkey just like everyone else (except maybe Couture.... or a guy like Werdum that has supreme subs)........

And since when is there a Golden Girl that stands 7 feet tall like Hong Man Choi...?? :shrug: Sylvia is just a miniature Choi w/ less talent.. :142smilie

I've got plays on Barnett, Fedor and Linland this weekend in a parlay.

The promotion already stated that they will pair Fedor and Barnett in the second leg of the "tourney" if they both win. Affliction and the fans WANT both of those fighters to win. Now, there is a chance that either "opponent" can screw things up BUT I'm going with the "house" on both of those fights. They both should win but this is MMA and anything can happen. If the fights are close go to the cards and the result is in question- you'd have to go with both those guys getting the nod IMO.

Linland is a GREAT wrestler with capable striking and great submission defense. I think he can control the match from the top and get the job done without getting into any danger.


And I know that Aleks should dispatch Buentello- but anything can happen in a shoot-out (which this will most likely end up as). Aleks has the sharpest hands at heavyweight in MMA and is very mobile on his feet but he does seem to gas after the first round and Paul can most certainly end any fight if he lands clean. Im staying away from betting this one- but I'm actually looking forward to this matchup the most. It will be a fun one.

I know there's a good chance this is internet gossip so I'll keep searching but there's been word that Fedor isn't going in to this fight healthy. He hurt himself training. The only reason I'm bringing this up is because I seem to lose on the fights and then later find out the guy was injured going in to the fight. ie Shogun vs Forrest
