I know there's a good chance this is internet gossip so I'll keep searching but there's been word that Fedor isn't going in to this fight healthy. He hurt himself training. The only reason I'm bringing this up is because I seem to lose on the fights and then later find out the guy was injured going in to the fight. ie Shogun vs Forrest

When is Fedor NOT injured? He's always injured for fights but he shows up and wins every time. Eastern Europeans nearly always get hurt when training because they train very hard (boxing and MMA) so theyre used to fighting through pain and injury. And although physically its not in their best interest- it plays a major part in making them mentally tougher.

This card might be the easiest money maker in a long time.

I am going to parlay the top 5 fights.

Fedor, Barnett, Aleks, Lindland, and Babalu...throw about 20-30$ on that parlay, I'm telling yah :)

Fedor via submission
Barnett via split decision
Aleks via KO/TKO
Lindland via submission
Babalu via unanimius decision....maybe submission, but Whitehead has never been sub'd, and for some reason I think Babalu can TKO Whitehead, my gut just telling me that.

i`m corn-fused.....

people like irvin`s chances vs the best pfp mma fighter alive......he has exactly a "puncher`s chance" vs a guy that`s never been knocked out....

yet, everybody laughs at paul buentello`s chances vs lil` fedor?.....

buentello, who is an excellent striker...vs a guy that liikes to stand in and has been ktfo?...

i understand he`s a longshot... but,i`d think in a stand-up battle that buentello has a half a shot...

btw.... i wasn`t aware that rizzo had stopped barnett before...
Could not agree more Bro. I have a pretty hefty wager on Buentello. He beat Carter Williams standing. I think he has a great chance.

I have a small wager on big Tim. I hope Fedor wins but if he loses, I will at least get something out the deal.

I have a small wager on Pedro. In his first fight with Barnett, Josh did not try to take the fight to the ground and got KTFO for his troubles. I expect a change of strategy for this fight but you never know.

Good luck all.

Honestly, I don't think what happened way back in 2001 can hold any weight in this fight.

Just take a look as to how much each fighter has developed themselves since that fight. I don't think Rizzo stands a chance to be honest.

James Irvin is gonna get tooled. One thing we have to do is step back and have to understand that the UFC is gonna hype up Irvin as much as they can. They have too, it's their part of marketing their fighters and fights.

Honestly, lets get real, MMA is MMA and any STRIKER has a punchers chance. However, if you ask guys off the record, they'll tell you that they think Irvin is gonna get destroyed.

I have no prob w/ a small bet on Buentello... as in very small.. Aleks should beat him up.

Plus..... i dont think Silva is the best P4P fighter... I would put Penn, GSP, and Fedor all in front of him, actually.. I think GSP would beat Anderson if u wanna know the real truth (dont get me wrong -- I love watching Silva)... And I think Irvin matches up quite well w/ him... Irvin has only been KOd once himself and keep in mind none of us have seen Silva at 205 against a hard striker like Irvin. Silva will be fighting +20 pounds from where we've seen him in the UFC.. completely different ball game in another weight class.

Neither fighter is gonna look like a fool after this fight. :SIB

Rawli, there is no way in the world GSP could be Silva. One of the main reasons GSP is so good compared to his competition is because of his size. Silva would make him look small. More importantly, Silva is the best striker in MMA currently and if Serra can get a ko over GSP then you know Silva has great opportunity at doing it.

And u dont think Silva has had a size and reach advantage in every single one of his UFC fights at 185...??????????

And GSP has become a completely different fighter since his loss vs. Serra. He would put Silva on his back easier than a hot knife through butter.. No way in the world...? gimme a break.

Usually if the risk/reward is horrible, I look for 2-3 "team" parlays, if not more.

Yes, Silva has had size and reach advantage but he's also destroyed all of those guys. I don't think he would worry about GSPs takedowns. If Hendo couldn't gnp him then I wouldn't think GSP could either.
