Current Nick Diaz isn't comparable to Nick Diaz from 5 1/2 years ago. His BJJ is on a whole new level compared to then as well.

Id take bets on Diaz vs any of the fighters you named. I understand, he's not in the UFC yet, so he's worthless as fuck.

I guess we'll have to wait and see him vs. GSP. Diaz has gotten better, but he hasn't fought any wrestlers in literally five years, and the camp he trains at isn't exactly conducive to becoming an elite mma style wrestler.

Think about Nate Diaz, his syle is a carbon copy of Nick's and he got wrestlefocked in the worst way by DHK. Even though his BJJ looked amazing while he was on his back, it didn't make much of a difference. Plus the rag dolling by Rory.

Nate and Nick are totally different fighters. Nate is worthless on his feet, and fighting a weight class above where he should be.

GSP is gonna have to take Nick down and lay on him for 5 rounds because there's no way he wins keeping it on the feet. However, the greatest of great champions always win beating guys at their opponents game. One reason why I've loved guys like Anderson and Shogun. They're exciting fighters who look to finish the fight anywhere.

Yeah she certainly not the type that you would be ashamed to walk down the street with

But I would pick Krya Gracie over her any day :00hour

No doubt Nick is a much better fighter, but their styles are the exact same.

Nate was getting wrestlefocked at lightweight also  I got the feeling he moved up because the UFC was going to fast track him to a title shot. After DHK beat him he called out GSP and Rogan was just like, yeah....no.

I think Nick's striking is a little overrated. He has no leg kicks and his only real advantage comes when he gets on the inside. He tries to get inside on everyone he fights and has to take big risks to do so. He couldn't get inside vs. Santos and ate all kinds of leg kicks as a result.

So even when they are on their feet he would have to get inside on GSP, who has a longer reach and the best jab in MMA. Not to mention the fact that Diaz would have to be constantly aware of the takedown when close.

One of Nick's tactics is to try and taunt his opponent and turn the fight into a brawl, but i doubt that will work on GSP.

Nick has amazing cardio and can cause his opponent to gas by overwhelming him, but GSP's cardio is world class.

Plus, GSP is training boxing with freddie roach right now in preparation

I don't think Nick has much chance at all, standing or on the ground. The only way I see him winning is by a submission from his back, or if he can pull off a three stooges style eye poke that goes unoticed.

BTW, if Anderson beat people at their own game then why didn't he BJJ it Maia  I'm not trying to nut hug GSP here (although it may seem like it, lol)

For every Maia, I can name Travis Lutter who he submitted. You can't beat every fighter at their own game, but at least Anderson is exciting when he doesn't. GSP doesn't even try to finish fights.

I will admit that it's the first time since the BJ Penn fight where I feel like I have to watch GSP fight, can't miss.

BTW, UFC 136...looking like an AMAZING CARD! I think we could see all 5 main card fights end via finishes.

Agree. This is a must see fight that will also get the UFC Primetime treatment so we should get to see some fun TV. The current Nick Diaz would avenge all his defeats if rematches with those opponents ever happen.

But I was at the Santos fight live and was shocked at how much success Santos had with those leg kicks. I would not be surprised to see the leg kicks as part of GSP's strategy.

Agree on UFC 136 as well. Even the facebook fights are going to be great.

I'm liking Coty Wheeler over Pulver on this card. Hometown favourite, Greg Jackson fighter, trains with top level guys, ect...

I seriously think Jens is just fighting for the money.

The reservation sensation shits the bed. Not sure exactly what happened and would like to see the fight.

Don't really care too much though because Mares came through big :0002
