That did not go well for Mr. Smitty.

i'm.... not. that was just a screen shot of a lot of surprisingly good first-round matchups. didn't mean to imply i was betting those. not often you scroll through a list of first-round matchups and 10 in a row look that good.
I don't recognize any of these players? Connors , Mcenroe, and Agassi don't play The Aussie?

Smitty how are you in Tennis? Is this sport fun to wager on?
my usual trend, at least in the majors, seems to be i do well early in the tournament, and then shit the bed the last few rounds. and, once again, i'm off to a fine start this tournament.

i was thinking this year i'll add it to my recordkeeping, just for my own edification.

it's just like betting on any other sport... it's fun if you're winning. :) and, just like any other sport, it can be incredibly frustrating. 2 days ago, i had muchova in some parlays. really liked her to beat osaka. and she cruised in the first set, 6-1. easy winner, right? she then lost the 2nd set 6-1 and didn't do much better in the 3rd. tennis players are some of the biggest prima donnas on the planet*, and most of them seem fairly weak mentally. especially the women. every point they lose, they throw a hissy fit and either drop their head or turn to their coach to whine. it's amazing how these matches can just turn on a dime. someone can be playing great, miss one easy shot, and suddenly they look like it's their first time playing. they fall apart at the first sign of any adversity.

*does not apply to canadians, obviously.

if you enjoy tennis, and are looking for a reason to watch some, then throw a few bucks on some of kick's bets. he's a lot more experienced at this than i am. and i'd love to hear his thoughts on the topic.

oh, and make sure you look closely into your book's rules on tennis bets. different books have different rules on what constitutes an official match (usually in regards to a player quitting a match), and also on determining other wagers. i've found DK to be better than BetMGM.

here's a nice longshot winner for tonight... Tomas Machac. almost no way he loses to asshole dipshit. ok, he just survived a 5-set match, so that's not ideal. but it was against opekla, who is a huge server, so i'm guessing there weren't a lot of long rallies.

i'm still trying to figure out how much i'm putting on machac, but i don't see him losing. and i think he's around +270.

ok, not gonna get too crazy.

machac (+320) 2X. this line went from +280 to +320 just before i put the bet in. machac probably just twisted an ankle in practice.
machac +1.5 sets (+130) 2X
